Outbuild is construction scheduling software that empowers project teams to create and manage construction schedules online in a simple-to-use, collaborative solution.

The software is so easy it allows for project schedules to be created in minutes, not hours or days.

A separate but connected lookahead planning module allows field teams to break down schedule activities into the tasks needed to be completed on site. This module can be utilized on a computer or iPad.

Outbuild also integrates with several areas in Procore, including The Procore Directory, RFIs and Submittals, enhancing your project management software and super-charging your project teams.

State of the Art Scheduling Software! Easy to Use!

Outbuild is state of the art in our industry! There is nothing else like it that I have used for scheduling, that is this advanced and easy to use! You can even update the schedule accurately on your iPad in the field!

Pros:

Outbuild has dramatically increased our efficiency and coordination to stay on schedule! During my foremen meetings, I have helped to collaborate with our foremen on a 3-week lookahead to get their buy-in! We now even have a few foremen chiming in on what their order of work looks like. This is a huge advancement for the industry, and within the two companies I’ve worked for that adapted this software, it has helped us young guys a lot!

Cons:

Outbuild is stellar! There are a few bugs that need fixing but nothing that stops you from becoming more efficient on your jobsites.

Procore's Scheduling model is still in development and was not ready for use.

Project is clunky and outdated. Takes a lot of time to setup, manage and use.

I love that Outbuild can seamlessly navigate, effortlessly input data, and allows full Procore compatibility.

Cons:

Just the transition from Microsoft Project. Getting familiar with a different scheduling software and all the tricks that need to be learned.

Some of the output and lack of customization can be frustrating for some teams. Lookahead especially.

Good construction scheduling software

Having never used Outbuild, it took a while for me to understand how to use it effectively. Now that I have many hours in, I am impressed with the ease of scheduling my trades. We have schedule meetings where we require the foremen to collaborate on the schedule, and Outbuild makes that very easy. When we have issues or suggestions, customer service is very on the ball and gets us real-time answers and fixes. In the six months I have been using Outbuild, I have seen constant improvements to the program, some of which I have helped to shape.

has alot of similar properties as other platforms, makes it easy to learn

not dislike, still learning and understand the features,, ( maybe i would like to be able to update on the main schedule-if there are added tasks in a lookahead--rather than having to go back and forth from the main schedule to lookahead also would be nice--when it is sync'd with Procore, it would be helpful that { when we hit the SAVE button,, it auto updates In-Procore
