    E-shot has always been a staple part of my job, I've never had any bad experiences with it but have had to deal with the odd issue here and there. Our account manager has always been on top of it and been incredbily helpful whenever needed, E-shot's customer service is fantastic!

    Pros:
    E-Shot has always been simple and intuitive to use. Every thing is laid out clearly and labelled well so not too much time has to be spent learning the software.
    Cons:
    It did initially lack some features that would be easily available on other platforms but over the past few months, changes have been rolled out to rectify this. I still don't like the Drag & Drop feature as it's limited with it's customability, I understand it is there to make the process of designing an email quick and easy but sometimes our layouts require a little more precision so it would be nice to have access to the code when needed.

    Outstanding customer support

    An overall really positive experience. As someone who was completely new to email marketing when I first started to use e-shot, their training and support is what has gotten me to where I am now. The team are exceptionally supportive, efficient, and importantly - friendly! I have been an avid user of their chat bot feature and always leave any conversation wiser than I was before, about whatever the issue at hand was, and with a smile on my face because of their caring and personable approach to customer support.

    Pros:
    The design feature in e-shot is easy and fun to use. Setting up an email campaign from start to finish is an efficient process, and being able to then check the deliverability of emails before sending via their email forensics features is a bonus. Although I don't have experience using an alternative email marketing platform to compare to, the features in e-shot are generally easy to use, particularly after a training session with one of their team members. They also seem pretty advanced, however you can utilise this as much as is needed. If all you want to do is create and send simple emails, you can. If you want to level up your email marketing strategy, you can. Whenever our tech team have has questions about integrations with external software, the team have been knowledgable and supported where they can.
    Cons:
    I do feel there are aspects of analytics that could be improved. For instance there are aspects of clicking analytics that have never made sense to me - namely Link Statistics and Click Overlay, even after inquiring with the team. It seems the number of clickers is always far higher than is actually shown in the overall analytics of a campaign.

    Competitive email marketing software backed by great customer support

    We migrated all our email marketing activity painlessly from another provider around 3 years ago and have not looked back since.

    The software is easy to use and has a good email and template editor. Delivery metrics seem good and the software support is usually very quick to respond to any queries.
    Cons:
    We have to purge lists that are often used after a years worth of sends due to either database design oversight or the software not having a purge, or archive function. We automate a lot of emails through the API so this could be a issue that few users come across.

    Pure dumped support for our bespoke perpetual license and left us with no option than to go elsewhere.

    We have worked with Forfront for 12 years, after switching from a different supplier. They are competitively priced which is an obvious advantage, but just as important in our view, is the ease of using the software and the customer service we receive. If we have an issue with something not working or, on occasion, we dont know how to do something or rectify and issue, they are available instantly. Live chatting and coming back to us if it is something which needs additional investigation or dev management. The tools are easy to use and extremely flexible, resulting in us being able to produce attractive e-mails, varying in content but maintaining our company style. We can manage and screen our clients engagement on each distribution and improve performance.

    The flexibility of the software. Our product varies greatly (we are in the travel industry), depending on whether we are working with a destination partner or communicating on non-promotional material. We can apply our company design and style with ease and vary the content.Managing our contacts is very easy too. Being able to clearly see, whether as a snapshot or in-depth, who is engaged and with what part of the communication is vital in our marketing planning.
    Cons:
    We sometimes have issue with mobile compatability of our designs. However, Forfront have always been very helpful at assisting and running analysis.

    Easy and intuitive to use with great reporting

    Pretty good. The support has been very good and are on the ball with new developments. A recent example include the free GDPR workshops prior to the legislation coming into effect.

    The core email editor is really easy to use and once you've sent the campaign, the reporting features provide some great insights to performance. Your contact list also manages itself, so you don't have to worry about remembering to unsubscribe a user or re-uploading previously dead contacts. All of it is automatically filtered based on the contacts preferences.
    Cons:
    Occasionally the service appears unavailable, but this is due to Google Chromes caching. Clearing it fixes the issue.

    Reasons for switching to E-shot

    Newsapps editor was very dated and didn't allow the user to customise freely. You had to pay the newsapp team build you a template.

    Excellent support and assistance

    The support team are excellent and always sort out our issues. Sometimes it is a coding issue when we introduce an error into a newsletter, sometimes we just want an opinion. We have these issues sorted out in no time at all.

    E-shot is fabulously easy to use and it seems to be set up in such a way that it suits companies large and small. Xmark Media is a very small company and I know we only scratch the surface when it comes to what the system can do and although my E-shot business manager goes patiently through all the options, including automatic responses to actions by readers clicking links, etc. we simply don't have the time to embrace all the features.
    Cons:
    Just occasionally it takes a while to receive a test, but hey ho, we all have to be patient sometimes.

    I had to take over creating our regular newsletters at short notice and with no formal training. I managed to work out how to use Drag and Drop and within a couple of days of trial and error created a passable newsletter. I am (probably), one of E-shot's older users, and have no particular technical skills or background, so I think it shows how intuitive and clear the system is and if I can work my way around it, then it should be easy for anyone else!
    Cons:
    Font choice is limited, also you can't select a font to be used in a whole newlsetter, you have to select it each time within the block. When setting up an All Groups newsletter in advance, new members are not automatically added. When resending newsletters to non displayers they also can't be set up too far in advance as anyone who does display is not removed from the group list

    Forfront has been helpful and has allowed us to continue to provide a newsletter service to our audience, we have also used them to build html files for us and the turnaround with this has always been impressive.

    Very user friendly, easy to manage contacts, scheduling of newsletters to g out at specifc times is also a plus and the fact we also have a dedicated account manager who is readily available is an excellent feature whcih has made my role easier.
    Cons:
    This may sound odd but I genuinly can't think of any negative features, it does exactly what we need it to do.
