About Degama DTMS

Degama Dynamic Transportation Management System (DTMS) is a trucking management solution that helps businesses streamline operations related to routing, billing, fleet maintenance and more on a centralized platform. The order management module allows staff members to handle order entry processes from multiple sources, including EDI, fax, phone and customer systems.

Degama DTMS carrier management functionality lets supervisors monitor historical carrier performance, track shipping rates and assign multiple carriers to a single order. It lets employees automatically schedule pick-up times, modify routes, track dispatchers and assign orders to specific drivers. Additionally, it lets drivers scan and store documents, such as ProBills, Waybills and other relevant images.

Degama DTMS facilitates integration with several third-party purchasing management, inventory control, HR, CRM and warehousing solutions. It also provides iOS and Android mobile applications, enabling field employees to manage operations remotely. Pricing is available on request and support is extended via phone, email, documentation and other measures.

Twenty-five year satisifed customer

The easiest way to describe it is, a perfectly integrated system. i.e. we are not combining pieces here and there. Everything flows perfectly with very few hiccups. When we do hit a snag, it is generally dealt with very quickly.

Pros:

We originally started with order entry and accounting. Over the early years we added different features of the system and have always been successful with their implementation. When hiring new staff, the system is easily understood by the new staff member. We generally train a person on the easiest (most repetitive) accounts. The learning curve for most people with no experience with Degama is very quick. The part we had the most trouble bringing in was dispatch, and that was our personnel not liking change. They love the system now.

Cons:

I don't like the fact that you can accidentally change prior year's numbers on the accounting side by opening batches. I've learned to be careful of batches being left open that were never intended to be open.

Degama DTMS is a great product with an even better team behind it.

I can't say enough about the Degama team. Top to bottom, they understand what needs to be done and also understand the importance of getting it done quickly. They were very helpful in the initial setup of the software, and continued support has been excellent.

I liked the ability to customize some of the process to work better with the flow of our business. The team at Degama had existing transportation knowledge, and they were quick to understand the changes I'd need.

Cons:

I do not have any complaints. [sensitive content hidden] and his team went through great lengths to make sure it has operated exactly as we needed it to.

DTMS Trucking Software

Degama is an amazing company to work with. They take the time to understand your processess and what it is you would like out of their total trucking software. They can easily design new reports or new imports of your data to merge with existing route data. DTMS goes above and beyond the level of service I have ever received from any other software company.

Pros:

DTMS gives us the ability to track all of our Revenue and Expenses per route. We can analyze our bid data against our real time results and see quickly where changes need to be made. The ability to have Lane Reporting, ties our Financial Statements into each route we operate. DTMS is very flexible in its design and can accomodate any changes we would like to see in the future.

Cons:

The time to get DTMS to calculate our route cycle times took longer than expected. The interface with Shaw proved to be trickier than originally anticipated. The GL module needs some improvements but overall performance is great.
