RAM Tracking is a cloud-based fleet management solution that helps small and midsize enterprises (SMEs) monitor the movement of commercial vehicles using GPS tracking systems. It enables proprietors to create route maps for drivers in order to avoid congested or slower roads and reduce vehicle mileage.

Features of RAM Tracking include job allocation, automated alerts, reporting, timesheet management, billing, re-routing and more. Fleet managers can utilize Android and iOS mobile applications to receive real-time location updates, identify the nearest vehicle to a postcode and view vehicle reports, even from remote locations. Additionally, it provides a reporting module for businesses to generate financial reports and gain insights into drivers’ activities.

Pros:

Able to keep track of time spent on jobs to ensure proper billing Helps with liability claims in the event of a snow related slip and fall -- can prove trucks were there to plow or salt

Cons:

That it needs to be a full year contract -- I would prefer to have in my tractors for winter so I could keep track of billable hours when plowing and show customers the times they were there but it doesn't sense to tack tractors in summer months

Be careful! Contract with the Devil!

Do not sign any agreements with RAM! IT'S A CONTRACT WITH A DEVIL! You can find way better tracking providers and not even insurance approved. I have been with RAM for years. Recently I decided to add another tracker and camera. They sent a contract and without even thinking I signed the contract. Apparently I not just added another tracker, but also renewed/extended 3 year contracts for my another 9 vehicles. It means that I am in another 3 year contract with them and can’t cancel it or pay for 3 years which is nearly £6k. I found out this when I contacted them asking to remove 2 vehicles as they are old, sorn and will go to salvage. Even though cars will go but I will be paying for the trackers and cameras of those vehicles for 3 years. Spoke with them, they are not willing to change anything. Madness

Works as intended but not the nicest to look at or interact with.

It was a pain to install and it messed up one of the trucks for sure. The crews weren't happy. Ram at least fixed it.

once its up and running it's nice to know where people are in the field without having to call them. helps us retrace steps and prove where we are. it works as intended

the software interface is not so easy to us, i wish it was a bit more userfriendly. i dont need it enough to use it daily to get familiar with it. but i would use it more if it was more satisfying and attractive

Ill tell you where they can RAM it

i hasnt been working for the past 6 months and while i still get emails for billing they cant seem to reach out to fix the problem
