Implement it if your organization already has SAP R3

It is most useful and easy to integrate if the organization is already using SAP R3

Cons:

Not recommended if you are an oracle based organization and want to deal with your transportation using SAP. The Transportation management module is difficult to implement standalone.

Great tool with a lot of complexity

SAP TM's (sophisticated) functionality as part of their 9.3+ release provides a solution for al industries and use cases. SAP TM has a very complex optimizer which can churn a lot of data and give you optimized shipments, but a lot of parameters must be figured out by users to get desired results. SAP TMS projects can sometimes be exhausting because of the amount of data you need to gather, but sometimes, it gives an opportunity to re-evaluate your entire logistics and supply chain processes.

I've see it on action on a exterprise that used to transport via sea, air, and train.

A good experience, implementing and customizing it, it was very hard and big difficult, but the customer was pleased with it.

This software is made for company's that do manage big warehouse and moves of materials and products around the world, it helps for releasing the orders, also has many functionalitys and security hierarchy, so every user know and do, what is has to do.

Cons:

Sometimes this software becomes a little bit slow, and it a company with a very big flow of products, items and in/out activity, could become a bottleneck in the warehouse and recieve/left packages.
