About Engagement Hub

Engagement Hub is community software that helps organisations in government, corporates and not-for-profit sectors to build engagement websites and manage stakeholder relationships. The platform enables administrators to communicate directly with the community via automated emails and newsletters and track updates on various projects.

Administrators can consult and engage on projects with stakeholders via online forums, quick polls, surveys and in total 38 different engagement tools all on a unified interface.

Engagement Hub allows teams to comment on interactive maps, attend workshops, amend budgets and share stories on feeds. Additionally, organisations can also share relevant plans, visuals and details regarding projects via FAQs, document libraries, blogs and external URLs. Projects can either be public or private. With private projects, you can create a secure place for citizen panels, boards, community reference groups to engage with each other and get information such as minutes, maps and plans.

Unlike other software providers in this space like Engagement HQ or The Hive, Engagement Hub has an integrated stakeholder management system which is incredibly powerful. So on top of all the great tools to engage users on the front end - it makes the administration easier and more impactful. For example, being able to run reports of all users, tagging and segmenting user groups and communicating directly with each or being able to see a report of all the activity a user has undertaken on the site. It makes reporting and especially audit reporting much easier and vastly improves organisations' stakeholder engagement. The other great thing about the software is the team behind it, their passion and their knowledge - they are stakeholder engagement specialists so they understand both the software and what we're trying to achieve on the ground. They've made implementation and deployment simple and the ongoing support is second to none. Over the years I've recommended and implemented this software for many clients and I can't recommend it enough.
Cons:
Nothing - all ideas I forwarded were taken up into the development roadmap and often implemented really quickly

The IT team were very responsive to our enquiries, however, this system is not quite what was described. Many members complained about the difficulty in navigating the site, even though training was provided.

The ability to make it private for members only, rather than publicly accessible. Members could access information and resources that made it a benefit of membership.
Cons:
It was a very manual process to upload information. If you upload something in one project, you cannot transfer that information to another section, it needs to be manually uploaded again.

The price was much more affordable, and the initial setup cost was a better price also.

Hi Amanda, thank you for your review. As mentioned in our many calls, extra training and emails together - each project is a separate entity and information is uploaded to each - as is the same on all other similar platforms. You can clone projects and tools so you don't have to upload manually each time and the software then recreates all design features too. We recommend you create a template project that you clone when starting each project as a base template to save time. We have worked extensively with your team but as we said at the time you purchased the licence - membership software may have been more suitable for your needs rather than engagement software. We have many happy clients across all sectors using it for engagement and stakeholder management but this differs significantly from the features of membership software. Other clients love the software for its simplicity in navigation so we're unsure why your members were experiencing difficulty but appreciate your feedback.

Ease of use. Functionality. Extensive customisation options. Great integration of people, issues, projects. Ability to showcase our brand visually. Excellent reporting features.
Cons:
The email features are great, and we can design some visually pleasing templates. However, end users are unable to customise the design of the system generated emails and need to rely on the team to customise them for us. Having noted that, I do have to say, the team does a great job in customising everything as we want it to be.

Reasons for choosing Engagement Hub

An all in one system to manage content and clients/customers that integrated many features that we needed. Some of the other ones offered services that we needed, but not all in one package. The Engagement Hub offered the best features and value for money. Furthermore their support and training was also a strong consideration, and has truly exceeded our expectations.
