It’s been very positive. I haven’t found anything better. They’ve been able to meet all my needs. I’ve added additional modules recently and it was seamless.

Really easy to implement and upscale as needed. Saves a ton of admin time. Many different modules to integrate HR functions and simplify compliance.
Cons:
Sometimes it’s hard to gets answers when there is a problem. The sales people change often and can be aggressive.

Happy with Paylocity!

We started using Paylocity at the beginning of the year and the experience has been positive. It has streamlined our payroll and HR functions. We have already added new modules and plan to implement more soon. It has successfully replaced our previous clunky process with a more automated, reliable solution.

Pros:
I only have to log into Paylocity for everything related to HR and Payroll. Love the employee self service functions, the reporting and ease of use. Everything is tracked, no more spreadsheets everywhere!
Cons:
The platform is robust, so there is an initial time investment required to learn and implement the various modules and features available within the system. I still have a lot to learn!

Reasons for choosing Paylocity

Lower cost, liked the demos of the product, integrated with our Benefit software, liked the sales guy, wasn't pushy at all and took the time to answer all of my questions.

So many changes. Get all the details about the pay. Now can ask for PTO also and check all details about PTO and plan in advance. No paperwork, everything on your app. Thank you Paylocity.
Cons:
Screen shows little more details about the payroll with few clicks will help. PTO functions need little more improvement and information loads on app is sometime not matches with our record.

Pros:
Paylocity is easy to use and has a good support team. When ever something is in questions, whether a report or time card information, it is resolved quickly and usually before ending a quick telephone call.
Cons:
The occasional question that is asked regarding a payroll adjustment seems to cause confusion and can take a while to be resolved. It's usually not a common question that which is why it can take a bit longer to find the correct way to resolve it.

The sales team didn't push features that we didn't ask for. A suggestion would be made without the high pressure sales technique.

So user friendly even a grandma can navigate

It was a smoother transition switching from another popular payroll app which i am greatful for. Not a headache at all. The app is easy to navigate and has a lot more features than the other. 100% i like it.

Pros:
I am a grandma i didnt have computer class i had typewriter class so i am not tech savvy at all. I was nervous having to use a new app. However to my surprise navigation of the app is simple. I love that you can clock in and out on the app and can look at your hours with ease and if there is a discrepancy you are able to put in a request to have it changed to the hours on the clock you know to be true like if you forget to punch in or out. It gets fixed so fast. Keeping your work hours accurate for the pay period.
Cons:
Putting in for PTO on an emergency and then having it approved only to have it denied right before payday. I wish it would send a notification text saying this was the case so i wasnt shocked at my paycheck. Some of us depend on a certain amount of money on payday and when its 400 dollars short it is a shocker and stresser.

Efficiency limited options for staff. They couldnt see their hours for pay period til payday itsself causing lots of work unnecessarily.

Overall the experience lands in the middle at good. I wish more I had a hands on dedicated account manager that I could get to easily and schedule time with vs relying on an email or gambling on a call back. Someone that actually checks in from time to time would be nice.

The ease of use of this product is really great. It is very easy for employees to navigate, and the mobile app functions really well. The products I use suit my needs as a small/mid sized organization.
Cons:
Customer support is often in form of an article vs easily getting to your account manager to assist you. The reporting function is sometime limited as well.

Responsive customer care, User-friendly features

For employees, the features in Paylocity are intuitive and user-friendly. Nearly all the tools we need in an HRIS system are here. Customer support is responsive and real - I can talk to people who know the system, actually listen, and will do research to find answers when needed. I love that Paylocity is responsive to suggestions for improvements; the system is always evolving. Sometimes that evolving can be a challenge when the underlying way it works changes with little or no warning. We have policies and training that is impacted by this, so we sometimes have to amend those for system upgrades. Admin configuration is not always intuitive; however, support is very helpful with navigating this, and I do like that there are so many options for customization.

Cons:
Some of the back-end configuration for Admins is not as intuitive as general user features. While it's not always intuitive to find where and how I make configuration changes, I do like that nearly everything can be configured. While I love that Paylocity takes suggestions for changes and makes improvements, that also means that underlying functions sometimes change with little to no notice, and we have to adjust the way we use the system to accommodate. Sometimes that even means changing company policy or leader training. Reporting is not as intuitive either.

The system provided everything we needed, the pricing was excellent, and the customer service was great.

Reasons for switching to Paylocity

Paycor's system did not work as promised. Paycor's implementation, training, and support were terrible. They were unresponsive and often did not understand basic payroll concepts or even their own system. Our implementation specialist was unprofessional and rude. The lack of system support was so bad that we switched after only one year of service.

Paylocity is a very user friendly platform. It was a seamless transition to integrate Paylocity into our company. As an HR and Payroll Manager, I have everything I could possibly need and more available to me with the various components of the software. I have found the custom reporting options to be extremely helpful and have saved me a lot of time. Anytime I have a question, the service team is great at providing support and are very knowledgeable.
Cons:
It has only happened a few times in 5 years, but there has been poor communication with changes at times which can be frustrating. I also wish that some of the components of the software were available at a lower cost, so that we could benefit from them. As a non-profit company, we have had to chose the most valuable aspects of the software because of pricing per employee.

As an HR Consultant who uses all the HR systems out there, Paylocity is the one I recommend the most. The functionality for its price point can't be beat and can be used as a true "all in one" system without the need for supplemental systems. It is also relatively user-friendly.
Cons:
I wish they offered more functionality in the employee app (ex. ability to update direct deposit and sign off on reviews). I also wish the format of the reports was more friendly to filtering and pivot tables.
