This is a very user friendly app, and meets all of my needs as a private microschool. This app meets all of my needs.

I think it would be nice to be able to have additional features at some point for employees and timesheets.

I’ve been using this school management software for a while now, and I have to say, I am genuinely impressed with how well it supports both my business and my values. From the moment I signed up, I felt like I wasn’t just getting a piece of software — I was gaining a partner that truly understands what a school or educational program needs to run smoothly. One of the features that stands out the most for me is the level of personalization. The platform doesn’t feel “one-size-fits-all.” It adapts to my program’s unique structure and allows me to customize things in a way that reflects how I run my school. This is huge for me since my school is a little different from a traditional model, and I need flexibility in scheduling, communication, and tracking. The software makes this possible without feeling complicated or overwhelming. The response time from [sensitive content hidden] is another area where she really shines. Whenever I have a question — whether it’s a small technical issue or a “big picture” question about how to set something up — I get a quick, thoughtful reply. I never feel like I’m just another user in a queue. [sensitive content hidden] genuinely cares about my success and takes the time to make sure I understand how to use the tools effectively. I also appreciate [sensitive content hidden] holistic approach to training and support. It’s not just about telling me which buttons to click; it’s about helping me think through the best way to use the system for my goals. She offers clear walkthroughs, helpful resources, and personal guidance that makes me feel empowered rather than overwhelmed. I’ve learned a lot about how to streamline my operations just by using her training and taking her suggestions. Overall, this software — and [sensitive content hidden] commitment behind it — has helped me save time, stay organized, and focus more energy on what really matters — serving my students and families. It’s rare to find a tool that balances robust functionality with such a truly human touch, but [sensitive content hidden] has built exactly that. I can’t recommend her and her software enough to other educators, small schools, or programs looking for a solution that is intuitive, responsive, and built with the realities of running a school in mind.

If I had to name a cons, it would be relatively minor: -A few features are still being developed or refined, which is understandable for a smaller, growing platform.

We have shopped around for many different programs and none could deliver on the flexibility, versatility and responsiveness of OSH.

I want more powerful reporting at my fingertips. They’re always ready to pull any report I need, but more extensive reporting options are (hopefully) coming.

I love the billing flexibility where families can pay for a whole year or month to month or 3 months at a time. I don't have to change anything on my end to do this. I also love that it charges us per family vs per student.

There are some features that I wish were better like the RSVP portion where I wanted to use it for field trip rsvp and people can indicate how many they want to attend, however, currently it is only if the student is attending.

The value for the price is awesome. Customer support is always swift and helpful. School management and especially the accounting section has been time saving!

Every time that I thought "hmmm, this could be improved" an update would come out that fixed it. I cannot complain about this app!

Great customer support! It has made our school management so much easier and more efficient. Great for student management, class management, etc. The app is easy to use and our parents love it.

There are a few options that are not currently available that we would love however they are working on adding some and have supplied work arounds so we can accomplish our needs.

Our School Hangout made our lives so much easier, and streamlined so many processes for us. We especially loved all of the extra time [sensitive content hidden] took to train us on the system, even though it's actually super intuitive and user friendly. We love how you can poll your class, create field trips as events, and the weekly newsletter option is so convenient!

There is nothing that we don't like about Our School Hangout. Any time there has been a glitch or an issue, [sensitive content hidden] and her team have responded diligently.

It is an all encompassing tool for preschools. It has family profiles, billing, communication, classroom & schoolwide pages and school calendars.

The only concern I've had is the ability to create group messages. If a parent wants to let the teachers know something, they can only message one teacher instead of being able to message both at the same time.

I love the ease at which the program runs for our school. [sensitive content hidden] takes all the time you need to learn the program as well. She helps you no matter how long you have been a client.I also appreciate her ability to try to tailor her program to your school.

I don't like new things. Change can be hard. This was not hard. [sensitive content hidden] walked us through every step of the process. I was well equipped to help our teachers and parents.

Our School Hangout has saved me lots of time and energy, especially in regards to all of the creating and sending invoices that I was doing before. I love that it organizes it all for me.

Our program utilizes a lot of the happenings/chat feature and it is a bit hard to reply to comments in various threads.
