About Accountable

Accountable is a cloud-based compliance and risk management software designed for healthcare practices of all sizes. It helps users manage HIPAA compliance, policies and procedures, HIPAA training, risk assessment and business associate agreement functionalities within a suite.

Accountable features HIPAA training with educational videos and quizzes. Employees receive training certificates after successful completion of the quiz. Accountable also provides users with lists of policies and protocols related to HIPAA standards.

Accountable offers risk-assessment tools, which help users remain compliant with Protected Health Standards (PHI) regulations. The product also features privacy officer access, which provides data and reports to the compliance management staff.

Accountable also offers an electronic signature feature, which enables users to digitally sign agreements and forms.

Great financial saas for small businesses

Great software that helps me getting a grasp on the financial side of my business. Easy to use, great features, clear overview and with a little bit of insight, you can run your business without the need of an accountant.

- no price differentiation per invoice - very clear and speedy helpdesk - automatic assessment of costs - tips upon registration of documents - automatic text recognition from scanned documents

Cons:

- getting it to your liking might require a bit fiddling with the settings

Reasons for choosing Accountable

Billit was cheaper at first, but charges per invoice. Since I have a lot of small invoices, price would cheaper with Accountable.

Audit-Ready HIPAA Training for Managed IT Teams

Accountable has been a great partner for administering our MSP’s HIPAA training at Dynamic Quest. The value for money is excellent — it provides the right level of compliance tooling without unnecessary complexity. Ease of use is a standout; both admins and end users can navigate the platform intuitively. The user interface is clean and focused, making training status and reports easy to locate. Their tracking and reporting features give us confidence in completion records, overdue visibility, and audit readiness. Compliance evidence is structured and reliable, which is critical in regulated client environments. Customer support is responsive and knowledgeable, helping us quickly resolve questions when they arise. Overall, Accountable supports strong client management and compliance tracking at scale, and we’re grateful to have them administering our HIPAA training.

How intuitive the platform is, and the confidence I get from their tracking and completion visibility.

Cons:

They offer a wide library of training topics, which is great, but we currently only use the platform for HIPAA. Since Dynamic Quest provides extensive internal security and MSP compliance training, most of the additional topics available don’t apply to our environment or client requirements today.

We selected Accountable for its intuitive administration, lower cost, and simpler HIPAA course assignment for MSP teams. It supports multiple administrators, reliable tracking, and streamlined reporting, which improves compliance validation for client requirements and security audits while staying budget-efficient.

Reasons for switching to Accountable

We switched from KnowBe4 for improved training administration, tracking, and compliance reporting. Accountable provides clearer, easier reporting for HIPAA compliance and security audits, allows multiple administrators, and supports shared oversight instead of single-admin bottlenecks. The enhanced tracking and compliance visibility made the transition the right choice for our MSP environment.

Poor customer service

The value proposition does not justify the high price for the platform. We have been trying to reach customer service for over. a month, through phone calls and emails with NO response. We are attempting to address the Charges we are incurring for the platform which have been charged with out our consent nor agreement.

I thought it was going to be better but then you tripled my annual cost for no apparent reason and with out discussing it with us before you started taking the money

Excellent Experience

Great! Very easy to track employees and make sure all was taken care of. Doing the security risk assessment wasn't near as difficult as I thought it would be, I could take my time and figure out what I needed to take care of.

Customer support and ease of use. I was usually able to reach someone about any questions I had. If I couldn't, I heard back within a short about of time.

Cons:

Uploading some of the BAA's was a little challenging. However, they were working on a fix at the time, and it appears that it has been taken care of.

Happy Customer

Been fantastic to be honest. Very knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had. They also changed a few things that we were looking for. Their logs for each document has only gotten better

Pros:

The ease of use and everything is done within the platform. There is no need for signing software. There is no need other than if you want to back up information to have any other storage software. I really the support time. Typically, within a couple of hours or soon you have answers to your questions

Cons:

There really aren't many cons. The only one that I have found is that signatures for certain documents (CA) aren't appended to the document. I didn't understand why it was appended to all other docs. That really is the only compliant

There were a few others, but we were looking for specifically for HIPAA. All of the software that we looked at supported other compliance as well, but HIPAA was the main feature

What I liked most about Accountable is how clearly it simplifies HIPAA compliance for healthcare teams. The platform provides well-structured policies, risk assessments, and compliance workflows in one place, making it much easier to understand, implement, and track HIPAA requirements. Cons:

While Accountable is very strong on HIPAA fundamentals, some areas feel a bit rigid and less customizable for organizations with complex or multi-product environments. Advanced reporting, deeper technical control mapping, and tighter integrations with existing security or compliance tools could be improved. For teams with mature security programs, parts of the workflow can feel more guided than flexible.

Makes Things Easy

It's been great, the platform has helped us a lot in streamlining our process for onboarding new employees and their support team is an added layer of security for us.
