Honest Review

I use Cerdaac daily to track items within our facility. It helps me keep track of which department items are located. I do not use the reports function much.

Pros:

Ease of use and the ability to track both Simco calibrated items and items calibrated by other sources including internal. Also the support provided by [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN].

Cons:

The inability to search and find items with known information.

Reasons for choosing CERDAAC

Mostly the ability to track internal and OEM calibrated items and be able to upload those certs.

Reasons for switching to CERDAAC

We did not like the service and support from our previous calibration source.

Pros:

Cerdaac is very easy to use and find information on all of our test equipment we use. I like having the option to view where the status of the equipment sent out to calibration is and what status the the equipment is in and where it is. Also like being able to look up equipment by asset number, makes finding information easy and list all the calibrations for that piece of equipment.

Cons:

Was used to working with old version of Cerdaac, now getting switched over to new version just learning all the options available on the new version.

Using Simco Software package

ease of use, local calibration lab generally helps speed up turnaround times for items in my database, pretty good certificates.

CERDAAC was easy to learn and apply within our company, its a good database.

Cons:

It would be better if the calibration information was linked better when trying to review it in the making of a calibration certificate, you cant see your information side by side to fill in the blanks for printing a calibration certificate.

I like that I can create reports and have them ran for just my location plus others. It make finding tools quicker.

Cons:

I just don't know what all reports can be created.

Pros:

Great for tracking test equipment (asset management) and for keeping up with calibration status. Items which are not currently in the calibration cycle can be tracked easily and added to the cal cycle when needed.

Cons:

Lag between issuance of a shipper and its receipt into the system, thus removing items submitted from the overdue reports.

Good for equipment, but needs to be more holistic with respect to the facility

More user friendly than other CMMS I've used, but less functionality. Good for equipment, but really need a program that's more holistic to the facility.

Pros:

System is usually pretty easy to navigate.

Cons:

Limited search parameters (e.g. can only search by Assets and not other identifiers within the record). The biggest drawback is that, I'm told, Rooms cannot be added- and thus work orders (e.g. cracks in walls, pest control) cannot be generated.

Pros:

Cerdaac is fairly easy to use. For my use I take id numbers and enter them into the software and once finished it generates a shipper which gets attached to the equipment to get picked up.

Cons:

I would like to be able to scan the items into the software. It would make the process much faster.
