The professional version of Google Forms, but not a fully featured offering

We use Forms occasionally, mostly for internal questionnaires but also for application forms. Aesthetically, it's a slight step up from Google Forms.

    Pros:
Forms integrates tightly with the Office suite as one would expect. Exporting results or feeding them live to an Excel document works well.
    Cons:
Forms conditional logic is a little different than what many form builders have. In general, there is little control over the layout of the form, and question types are limited.

Reasons for switching to Microsoft Forms

Integrated with Office/365 and included with our subscription, and doesn't scream "I'm a free form" quite as loudly.

I like that it can download the data into an Excel sheet to showcase all the numbers. Also, the varieties have a pie chart to show the results visually. From an admin and participant perspective it is a very well-rounded software that doesn't differ too much. The options of question types are not confusing and doesn't clear on to help you what goal you're trying to achieve. I appreciate the existing template that is being offered currently. It's a good range for people to begin with and it showcases that i
    Cons:
From an admin side: I feel that it would be useful in a technical aspect, to put ideal background wallpaper format size for users to be aware that if it isn't this particular size, the image will be stretched. Because its usually come as a surprise for when users upload their own images. OR to integrat Microsoft designer into Forms.

    Reasons for choosing Microsoft Forms

Because my company are Microsoft base, so its easier to store data all within the cloud base and I can easily invite my co-workers on the platform to collaborate.

    Pros:
Creating a form is easy. With no training or tutorials, it is possible to create a title, questions and types of questions, such as multiple choice, ratings, etc. You can then email a link to the survey from your email account. It even creates a report of the survey which you can download, when complete.
    Cons:
It is not easy finding when the survey is complete, or progress on how many people have completed the survey, without going into the forms.

Reasons for switching to Microsoft Forms

Forms is easier to use, more intuitive and quicker to build surveys than other platforms. Sending out the survey is easy via a link. The reporting I think is great. Downloadable from anywhere. Looks professional. Not need to copy it into another presentation.

It's user friendly and very easy to use. It feels intuitive and doesn't require any experience to use it. I also like the fact that you can make it for people in your organisation only but still have the option to make it anonymous. When the survey isn't anonymous, I like the fact that it tell you that the owner will be able to see the name.
    Cons:
It's not that I like the least but I'd like to see a slider option for questions like the one in Qualtrics. It would be also useful to be able to collect the responses in SPSS format

The reports that are auto-generated are great, however it would be amazing if we could select which type of chart is displayed. I like pie charts for some things, and bar charts for other things. Currently, the only way to do this is to export the data to Excel and create the charts there.

Forms is an excellent product for surveys and forms, internal and external, and a critical part of the 365 organizational suite. It can integrate with Lists and Power Automate to increase functionality, and has many options for controlling settings and security. The synced results spreadsheets are extremely helpful.
    Cons:
The way you have to designate a Form to a personal account or a Team is a little goofy and can have some unintended consequences if not carefully managed (who has access, etc.). It's also very easy to create forms, but a little too easy to change them.
