Pros:
Simple to use and uncomplicated. When needed, customer service is easily accessible , helpful and has CPA on the team who help us stay compliant.
Cons:
They are always introducing new features and enhancements. The team clearly prioritizes user needs because they are very receptive to feedback so i have no dislikes for this

Reasons for switching to DualEntry

With Sage, we were feeling stuck. For every small integration, they were asking for more money. But with DualEntry, the good thing is all 13,000+ integrations are coming in the same subscription plan. This is saving us a lot of money and time.

Game-Changing System That Simplifies Accounting

5

We switched to DualEntry because our previous system slowed us down with too much manual work and limited automation. Since transitioning, we’ve seen a huge improvement in overall efficiency—especially in AP, reconciliations, and monthly close. Tasks that used to take hours now take minutes, thanks to the automation and smart integrations. It also reduced errors and improved visibility across entities, which has helped our team stay more organized and proactive. DualEntry has definitely made our finance operations leaner, faster, and more scalable. We’ve integrated DualEntry with Stripe, Bill.com, Gusto, and QuickBooks (for historical data access). The integrations were smooth and helped us centralize financial operations—especially for payments, payroll, and cash reconciliation. It’s great not having to jump between platforms to complete everyday finance tasks.

Pros:
What I like best about DualEntry is how it feels like a modern, intelligent upgrade from other accounting systems—especially for companies managing multiple entities, currencies, or high-volume transactions. DualEntry makes multi-entity accounting effortless. The built-in automation for AP, cash matching, and revenue recognition eliminates so many manual steps. I also appreciated how seamlessly it integrated with other platforms—something that usually requires third-party apps in other accounting systems. The interface is cleaner, faster, and more intuitive, and DualEntry’s AI Copilot adds another layer of accuracy and insight that is not available in other software.
Cons:
One area for improvement would be onboarding support for non-accountant users. While the interface is intuitive, adding e-learning materials—like guided walkthroughs, video tutorials, or a searchable help center—would make it easier for team members without an accounting background to get up to speed quickly. This could be especially helpful for startups or small teams where finance responsibilities are shared.

False promises to cover up an incredibly broken platform. Vibe-coded reliability, not ready for production/business environment

1

I fell for their pitch because of how confidently they talked about their so-called multi-entity capabilities, claiming they were way ahead of competitors like Rillet, Campfire, and Light and that they even had a public company on their platform (which I suspect is a fabrication). Turns out, that confidence was just arrogance. They made huge promises about core features that, six months later, still don’t exist. They brag about “migration in days,” but six months in, they still haven’t gotten me up and running. Then they throw in a free month like they’re doing me some big favor, as if that makes up for flat-out lying to customers and causing serious harm to business operations. I understand that they're a new company, but making false claims about their capabilities upon which I'm switching over our entire financial system is unacceptable. The [sensitive content hidden] have been stringing me along for months now, promising that they've hired more engineers (they finally hired their first QA engineers in December 2025), but the bugs continue popping up. I recently sat down and was trying do a bank reconciliation and submitted 5-10 tickets within a few hours.

Pros:
Best UI, great features promised (if only they worked/delivered). They offer free implementation which feels like the right move (but again, if only their provided implementation resources actually knew the system and were more competent at migrating data).
Cons:
Simply doesn't work. There are 2 new bugs that pop up for every bug that gets fixed. These impact critical functions, such as bank match, inter-company transactions, eliminations, reporting, etc. My biggest regret of 2025, I've wasted an incredible amount of my time being a free QA engineer for DualEntry while losing visibility into my financials due to the system being completely broken. Examples: Bank accounts for the wrong entity will automatically populate when creating transactions from bank match screen Eliminations remain active after they've been archived, creating false balances in reporting/ledger Basic text search doesn't work Bank matching will often match with a blank transaction Rules show the transaction as a successful processing, but then they will all revert to unmatched They have multiple different import engines, but they each have different processing logic, different import fields, and no documentation There's ZERO documentation available. Half the time the [sensitive content hidden] and CS don't know how a feature works and need to go ask the engineers, need to constantly follow-up to get answers.

Reasons for choosing DualEntry

Form above doesn't have options, but the key competitors in the modern cloud-native accounting platform space that I looked at are Campfire, Rillet, and Light.Better UI, confidence of [sensitive content hidden] , promised features, claim of a public company on their platform (took as a sign of stability)

Reasons for switching to DualEntry

Wanted something more modern, faster, ability to archive JEs.

From Data Entry to Insights - Automated Accounting in One Smart Platform

DualEntry has really helped simplify the workflow. It completely removes the need for manual computation of depreciation and amortization, which used to take a lot of time and effort. I also love how the approval process works -everything that needs review goes straight to the inbox, there's no need to jump between different tools or tabs. Plus, the ability to integrate with many other apps is a big help!

Pros:
DualEntry is all-inclusive and intuitive interface that makes day-to-day accounting tasks easier to manage. I love the automation features - once fixed asset and prepayment details are entered, the system automatically handles depreciation and amortization schedules, removing the need for manual calculations in Excel. Also, the built-in accounting intelligence adds an extra layer of smart insights that supports faster and more informed decisions.
Cons:
The overall interface is excellent, but I’d like to offer a few suggestions that could further enhance the user experience. It would be helpful to have an easier way to generate both accrual and cash basis reports - or perhaps I just missed where to do this. I’m also curious about how the monthly depreciation and amortization entries are triggered. Are they posted automatically? I really appreciate the period locking by transaction -it’s a great control feature. I wonder if there’s an option to secure it further, like a password setup. Lastly, while I understand that custom reports can be created, it would be more efficient if some basic standard reports (e.g., revenue by customer or by department) were readily available in the report list. Adding these defaults could save time for users who rely on standard views. I'm used to seeing a broader set of ready-made report choices. Overall, it's a smart and user-friendly platform, and I understand that some of these features might already be in the pipeline for future integration or improvement.

Reasons for switching to DualEntry

I'd love to try new accounting software to see if it better suits the business needs.

User Friendly Interface for Layman

Overall experience was good and satisfactory. It is providing all the information at a click and proving out to be an interactive workspace which can provide solutions to all accounting problems. All the accounting ratios can be calculated in no time which saves lots of time and effort. The interactive graphs and charts make it easier to interpret the data that is being put into the system. It further helps in analysis of the position of the company. For eg, If any ratios/ graphs turn out to be inconsistent it can be easily caught and company can work on solutions to improve their performance on the spot instead of waiting for month end to calculate these manually. Further, all the tasks are being done with minimum effort and time. Also, the journal entries that can be uploaded are more than other platforms.

Pros:
DualEntry is user friendly platform. I was impressed by how easily I could navigate through without having any prior knowledge of the same. The dashboard is very easy to understand and interpret, the left side bar contains all the user required requests. Also, all the required information in accounting process is just a click away. It reduces the effort to be spent on keeping track of AP, amortization, bank accounts etc. which significantly reduces the amount of time to be spent by the enterprise in interpreting the financial information. The reports can also be easily generated and ratios easily accessable helping the company in keeping track of when something goes haywire.
Cons:
Overall I loved how convinient the platform is- it's clear, crisp and concise. However, a few alterations I would suggest is : 1. adding auto correct: some places I could notice wrong spellings which can be reduced by this. 2. We can add some drop down menus e.g. in asset overview we can add dropdown in fixed asset name so that instead of manually entering the asset categories can be chosen which makes the process streamlined, better for user and further adding up each category can be convinient if same asset category is chosen through drop down menu.

Reasons for switching to DualEntry

In my previous organization, I have worked on netsuite which was a very dull ERP system to work on. It took me a lot of time to learn how to operate it proprerly however, with dual entry it felt easy and interactive. I could easily navigate through it without any help. Further, the netsuite was very slow system to work on. Further, it was very difficult to catch errors in netsuite, however, with the way information is displayed and segregated in DualEntry it makes it easier to interpret and check what wrong was feeded into the system

The match bank data sections ease of matching payments is another feature i love. And if I make some mistake like matching the wrong things that have the same amount, it is very easy to go back and fix the error.

Pros:
For me, what stands out is how easy it is to set up and use, even for those who are new to accounting systems. The layout is simple, and I like that you can adjust the dashboard depending on what you need to monitor — whether it’s collections, expenses, or cash balances. One big plus is the live bank connection feature. It saves time because you can see your cash position without logging into each bank account one by one. It also works well for companies with different subsidiaries because the reports can be viewed by entity, so it’s less hassle to consolidate.
Cons:
Some areas, like integrations and multi-currency features, still need polishing, especially for businesses dealing with complex setups or specific tax requirements. I’d suggest double-checking local tax compliance, just to be sure.

Reasons for switching to DualEntry

We started looking at DualEntry because we were starting to feel the limits of QuickBooks Online. As our operations grew, it became harder to manage multiple entities, consolidate reports, and handle larger transaction volumes smoothly. DualEntry gave us better visibility, faster performance, and features that just made more sense for where we’re heading.

Also, the integrations with other tools feel a bit limited. Would be nice if it played nicer with more payroll or invoicing apps.
