About ScreenConnect

ScreenConnect is a cloud-based operations management solution that allows technicians to perform remote support, gain remote access and run remote meetings. It acts as a meeting point for technicians and customers, enabling them to receive solutions without phone or chat sessions.

ConnectWISE - A WISE Choice!

5

Very positive experience with this software. It's very stable and only requires a thin agent to install, after that, it's easy to connect & provide quick efficient remote support.

Pros:
I'm currently managing 30 endpoints with ConnectWise. It's very easy & intuitive to use with a great interface & plenty of details per device.
Cons:
It was tricky at first to remotely navigate endpoints with multiple monitors, but once I got the hang of it, I had no issues with managing devices.

THE perfect alternative to Anydesk or TeamViewer.

5

Great app, super easy to deploy. We had some follow up emails from our trial from someone at ConnectWise to check in which was a nice touch, and the whole process from start to finish was really really smooth.

Pros:
ScreenConnect is incredible. The process of deploying to various endpoints is super easy via Intune - just build the app from the admin portal and deploy the MSI file. Being able to disable guest input is super handy when providing remote support to users who continue working whilst you're trying to make a fix.
Cons:
The admin panel isn't the clearest - turning off features like the desktop preview images should be far easier, we had to do some Googling to find out how to do it as it feels like an invasion of privacy.

Reasons for choosing ScreenConnect

AnyDesk is great, however the ability to build your own app for your environment is the worst experience we've ever had. The build tool is slow, seems to forget half of the options you'd selected and unattended access was painful. I don't know who at AnyDesk signed off on the tool, but it needs to be removed.

Reasons for switching to ScreenConnect

Teamviewer became horrifically expensive when managing over 500 devices, to add an extra 500 was horrendous and they would only allow this if we renewed our contract for an additional 2 years. Managing the install via Intune of Teamviewer has become a massive chore too - some devices for some reason fail to load the app which is annoying when trying to remotely manage and support users.

Involved setup but a top-tier remote access product

5

We love this product. We use it for internal support access and unattended access as well as remote support where the user may not have the full ScreenConnect client installed on their system.

Pros:
Very user friendly. We began using this product to support third-party access with time-based windows as opposed to the traditional VPN / RDP method. This allows our specific teams to provide their own connection requests to vendors who require temporary internal access to specific resources in our environment. We are able to run commands against machines remotely and view basic information about the resource.
Cons:
There's a fairly intensive and not the most intuitive setup process if you're customizing permissions and the look-and-feel of the client application.

Reasons for choosing ScreenConnect

Features and functionality. I believe that the pricing on ConnectWise ScreenConnect was cheaper, but the actual use of the application was well above the other options we considered.

Reasons for switching to ScreenConnect

Moving away from line-of-sight connection and VNC security

Robust access software any IT pro should have.

5

Overall my experience with Screen Connect has been very positive. It is my go-to when I need to remotely manage devices. I love its robust capabilities, and the price is very competitive with other software's that don't have as many features. Customer support is unmatched as well and they are always willing to take care of any issues with the software itself.

Pros:
Remote access is a breeze with this product. Whether you need to have it installed on a machine or simply need to provide direct support to end users. The ability to view all screens, deploy scripts, and transfer files is always a bonus. Directing users to the remote support page is easy with a quick link or a added as a clickable on your website. Installing access on machines is as easy as clicking a button. No need for all the extra stuff that comes with other RMM's. This has definitely taken our customer support to another level.
Cons:
Sometimes it can be a bit hard for older users to find and run downloads. Theres lots of pop ups the users have to accept before a connection is established. This is easily fixed with a little bit of walking through but can become a hassle when trying to assist those who are a little bit less tech savvy.

A great tool for our team

4

Overall, we're generally satisfied. It’s made managing remote support for our clients much easier and more efficient. The features and reliability are better than other tools we’ve used, and the backstage mode is a real standout. I’d definitely recommend it to other MSPs looking for a solid, professional remote support solution.

Pros:
ConnectWise ScreenConnect is highly reliable for us. Not only that, it’s fast, and makes remote support easy for our us as well as our customers. More importantly, it's super easy to deploy and roll out to all our clients’ devices.
Cons:
There are frequent updates, so our sys admin has to keep it up to date regularly and occasionally, there can be a bit of lag when connecting to Macs or when using high-resolution monitors.
