About HumHub

HumHub is a team communication software that helps businesses manage social media accounts across multiple platforms and collaborate with teams. The platform enables managers to set up custom themes, permissions and notification alerts on a unified interface.

Features include private messaging system, task manager, calendar, single sign-on (SSO) and marketplace. Additionally, HumHub lets stakeholders integrate the system with several third-party applications including Apache Solr, Azure Active Directory, DeepL Pro, GitHub and Google Calendar.

If design is not a key part of your setup then this is a great place to start your social network

It was nice to play around with it but as it seemed only slightly better than starting from scratch we decided to scrap the idea.

Pros:

I liked that it already had the basic social network functions already built in, even if you would likely want to rename them for whatever purpose you have in mind.

Cons:

The layout is kind of basic and there are no themes that are usable to easily boost your design. In addition, there aren't a lot of add-ons, probably because this is a nich market.
