Softdrive is a high-performance GPU virtual desktop.

Softdrive is the least expensive and only GPU Cloud-PC that has its own cutting edge remote desktop Software that feels like a local PC.

Download Softdrive app on any old computer or thin client and stream a high-performance PC. Just like how Netflix streams movies, we stream a PC.

Having issues with company computers? Instead of spending a large capital cost and all the labor setting them up, download an app and subscribe to streamable computers.

Softdrive has a custom hypervisor that sits on top of a bare-metal server in a Tier 4 data center.

Softdrive has custom streaming software that leverages GPU video encoding with custom UDP networking protocol to produce an experience that feels like a local computer.

Pros:

Software is easy to deploy and use. Very customizable, team worked with us on our specific requirements and customer support has always been top notch.

Cons:

None that i can think of at the moment. Most of our concerns were resolved within the first few months of using the product.

Reasons for switching to Softdrive

Ease of implementation and speed of deployment. Also extended support above what we got with Microsoft.

Overview of Softdrive, useful when a powerful computer is needed

Very good implementation to my work. Sometimes my computer won't handle some files where softdrive could.Was an interesting transition but once settled, it can be greatly utilized

I love how easy accessible it is, becomes very smooth when using Softdrive

Cons:

The internet disconnections I use to have. Bold the word "use". This issue no longer occurs

Softdrive - Revit Experience

Pros:

The system is capable of running large Revit Projects in excess of 100-200mB in file size, of course depending on the Package you pay for. But in the case you intend to use Large projects with this system it is more than capable.

Cons:

The Multi-Monitor mode needs to be updated to have the choice of choosing certain monitors to display Softdrive while leaving others to display the original Device you used to access Softdrive remotely. Currently the system only allows for all screens to display Softdrive or only One screen.

Best VDI platform available on the market hands down.

We were able to significantly reduce our net cost for powerful desktop PCs while introducing more efficiency. Now that the team is set up with virtual machines and able to work from anywhere I don't think we're ever going back.

Pros:

I have tested other VDI systems and they are simply not fast enough and a pain to get set up and very expensive. SoftDrive provides great value, has near zero latency and is super easy to deploy.

Cons:

Would like to be able to support Mac users. They have indicated that this is on the roadmap.

Went virtual.

Amazing performance together with ease of implementation. And great customer support!

Cons:

Initially, there was no multi-monitor support and no admin portal but this has been since implemented and works great.

Definitely recommend

Softdrive has been an excellent addition to my work- makes it very easy to access my files and programs from anywhere without having to carry around an external hard drive. It has been excellent working with the development team in the event something goes wrong. They are easy to work with and respond quickly to any issues that arise.

The software and associated app are very easy to use, and syncs very well with existing workflow. The multi-monitor functionality has been an excellent addition to the software

Cons:

if the internet is slow, it can make using the virtual machine difficult and cause it to lag

Pros:

Softdrive is a great platform for anyone looking to have a dedicated machine they can access from anywhere! I keep forgetting that I'm on a virtually machine and not my laptop. It has been very stable for me and the users that we've deployed machines to. Keep up the great work guys!

Cons:

At the moment Softdrive does not have support for microphone or webcam which makes meeting a little bit of a hassle, but they have said that these features will be coming within the next few months. That's really the biggest inconvenience though so to me Softdrive is more than worth that short term inconvenience!

Very easy to implement; excellent value for money and its incredibly reliable even when the internet connection isn't great.

Cons:

Multiple monitors were not available until recently, but it now supports 8 monitors!

Pros:

The ability to free up resources on my office/work computer is really nice.

Cons:

Needs the ability to create PDF's. Softdrive occasionally will lose connection but I am able reconnect quickly.
