I love inBuild. It has worked really well for our company with all financial tools. With there was better folders for documents like Procore but it does the job

I like how easy it is to use and that AI is incorporated to make data transfers easier as well as shorten time spent on billing
Cons:
I dislike how often the site lags and has issues. The team is generally quick to fix them but they still happen a lot

Reasons for switching to inBuild

Procore was way to expensive considering we were not utilizing it to its full ability

General Contracts golden egg to financial management for projects

AMAZING! This is a user friendly software and has a great integration with QBO. The team within Inbuild is constantly developing the software to fit the needs of its users. Their support staff is wonderful and always helpful! There is honestly no better budget tracking, invoice tracking, subcontractor tracking, and payment tracking software out there, Sage and Procore cannot hold a candle to Inbuild. This is a very user friendly software, which is why I will always vote it higher then Sage or Procore.

Pros:
This software has made a large impact to our Owner Applications (invoices) and tracking expenses for projects. This software has literally saved me days of month end chaos of organizing multiple projects for owner invoices. The support team is phenomenal! Quick responses and work with you to help with any issues that may arise. There is constant development within Inbuild that makes using the software magic and the team is always looking for ways to improve use. The integration with DocuSign is a huge plus and time saving application as well!
Cons:
Sometimes the AI pulls random pictures from emails like company logos, or doesn't populate the invoice information accurate. It can be a hassle sometimes but for the most part AI does a good job.

Reasons for choosing inBuild

User friendly and a easy program to track spending and be transparent to both GC and owner when invoices are created.

Keeping your work organized

Inbuilds team is extreemly helpful with any questions or needs. They have always had time to help by appointment or even urgent needs. You are able to speak directly to the same staff all the time by phone or directly through the chat in real time. There is no fustraiting language barriers or people from over seas trying to direct you by script. I think this is a great, organized system for construction companies like ours. It is easy for our office to upload and request approvals from management. And it is easy for management to approve and code invoices to be billed.

I love how easy it is to upload invoices and submit to be approved and coded. Once the approvals are complete I love that we are able to upload to quickbooks and generate our customer invoice with ease. Inbuild keeps all our invoices organized in each billing period with easy access to see past invoices by draw or vendor for each project.
Cons:
The contract and change order tracking was the only struggle for me because it seems to be very hands on to make sure everything was scanned in for the contracts, which is expected. But I wish there was an easier way to add the change order to the contract tracking section so we didn't have to rescan and up load the change orders to the contract section. But I know they have continued to create updates and improve their system. This is a feature I am needing to revisit to see if the structure has been updated to create an easier system. Inbuild has been active in trying to simplify and get me help to see if recent updates are good improvements for our needs. At this point it is my own schedule that needs to create time to see if there improvements are more suitable for our needs. Review to be updated ;) Other issue is when invoices are denied they seemed to disappear. I wonder if there is a feature that can remind you of a denied invoice. A denied invoice in our system is usually because work has been disputed or needs to be completed. So it is not usually denied forever. We had a large invoice that was denied. When staff tried to upload it when work was completed to be approved it said it was a duplicate so staff didn't upload it. Could have been prevented if staff checked if the invoice was approved and billed, but wondered if there was a back up way to make sure this dosent happen again. Our vendor didn't say anything till months after and our job was complete, so we had to submit late, and that is not ideal.

Has filled a lot of gaps

Knowing what I know now I would still choose to move forward with inBuild if I reversed back to when we were first introduced with inBuild. It's working as advertised - even with the normal hiccups. Our volume of business increased exponentially. InBuild has allowed us to tackle our growing pains head on.

Pros:
Of all the software we use inBuild is the first we consider being married to and using other tools to build around inBuild.
Cons:
Integrating with DocuSign. Has hit a lot of unexpected snags (not inBuild's fault).

Reasons for choosing inBuild

Built wanted to approach integrating only one project - wasn't reasonable considering our need for a solution with all projects.

Reasons for switching to inBuild

Procore's financial tool is good but has holes inBuild filled and continuing to fill additional holes

They worked hard to help us implement the application quickly. Attentive customer service with a real desire to make us happy as a customer. The work flow is efficient and straight forward.
Cons:
We struggled to get the AI and Quickbooks integration up to speed at first. We also had a difficult time generating Pay Apps that followed our previous format and had the necessary continuity.

Reasons for choosing inBuild

We needed a flexible and specific application rather than an all-in-one software.

My field operations team is able to enter expenses as they occur and were not chasing down paperwork at the end of each month.
Cons:
I would like inbuild to connect to credit cards.

Reasons for switching to inBuild

Basecamp did not have an option for our field team to enter expenses and we had problems with QBE & ProCore and Bill.com working together.

Love that I can keep track of all invoices by what has been paid, per project, per draw. Keeps track of budget so we know where we are at per cost code. Everything is organized and accounted for.
Cons:
Small glitches but the team is always quick to jump on it and fix the issue.

I LIKE THE EASE OF PROCESSING INVOICES. IT TOOK THE AI QUITE SOME TIME TO FIGURE OUT A FEW OF OUR VENDORS BUT FOR THE MOST PART IT IS GETTING THEM CORRECT NOW.
Cons:
THE SYNCING WITH QUICKBOOKS HAS BEEN FRUSTRATING. THE AI CONTINUES TO CREATE NEW ACCOUNTS DURING THE SYNC PROCESS EVEN WHEN WE HAVE ALREADY PROCESSED THE INVOICE WITH THE CORRECT ACCOUNT.

I like the organization and how it can filter invoices just to you. The customer support is wonderful, anytime I have a question or notice a glitch they are quick to respond and get it sorted. I also appreciate the ability to set up epay for our subcontractors to take one less step out of the payment process.
Cons:
The one thing that still happens from time to time is the AI does not recognize bills that are duplicates- but sometimes that is because of labeling incorrectly etc. But that is really my only complaint.
