Excellent Invoice Management software

I have loved working with Makershub from the beginning. I was part of the beta testing and the team has been very professional, accomodating and very responsive to all my questions and asks. I almost felt like they were designing the software for me - it was great! Once I used it, I knew I was never going back to the clunkier versions on the web.

Pros:

I love the speed in which I can enter invoices. It went from hours to minutes. I love that it has the features I always wanted but had to work around - such as Approve and Pay if an invoice is already paid. And I love that it has a 2-way sync, so if something is paid in QB, it gets paid in Makershub without me having to do anything

Cons:

I would like the search function to be more concise. It is so customizable it is almost harder to use

Pros:

I was initially drawn in by the approval capabilities, and thought I would use it for one client. After using it and dealing with [sensitive content hidden] for customer service I am such a fan, I now have many clients onboard and several colleague referrals.

Cons:

I don’t think it is as intuitive as other programs. Maybe that’s why I’ve gotten to know [sensitive content hidden] so well or maybe it’s just me, but I’ve needed to reach out for a variety of training because I just couldn’t figure it out. The plus side customer service is so good that’s not actually a barrier.

Makers Hub is Great

It's great. I recommend it to all my AP-intensive clients. The ACH and checks are really helpful in terms of giving a smoother process for AP

Pros:

The ease of use and the information about when payments were made. Specifically the logs of when payments were authorized, submitted, withdrawn, and deposited. Give a clear audit log of what happened.

Cons:

The QBO sync of the bills could be a bit better. It doesn't show you which bills have already synced over until you press the sync. Also, I think there should be template emails for the vendor payment requests.

I recommend MakersHub

The bill and payment approval workflows are clear, and also convenient for those working outside the office. Requesting W-9 and payment information from vendors is easy and secure, and payment turnaround time is quick. Since the software captures and reads the invoices, not having to input all the invoice information manually is a big time saver. It also syncs with QBO with ease. Archived data provides detailed information beginning with the bill being uploaded through the customer receipt of payment. Customer support is quick to respond and has resolved any issues we have encountered. I’ve gotten nothing but positive feedback from users and vendors.

MakersHub has turned our bill payment process into a more simplified and efficient process.

Cons:

We had a small issue with the way MakersHub was reading our check request forms. This issue was easily resolved by making a small change to the form. We haven't had any other issues.

Pros:

MakersHub has saved me so much time. It enters expenses accurately and in more detail than I would if I were to enter manually.

Cons:

I would love it if I could choose to expedite payments myself when scheduling them. I have been told that this may be an option in the future.

QuickBooks has a feature that allows you to forward invoices or upload them and attempts to read them like MakersHub, but it doesn't work nearly as well.

Pros:

It has cut down manual entry, errors reduced to practically zero, and I end up going to MakersHub to check invoices instead of QuickBooks because it is faster.

Cons:

There are some improvements that need to happen regarding ability to just enter a receipt as an expense instead of having to have a bill entry and then a bill payment entry for each receipt, invoices from different vendors that look too similar will go to only one vendor (regardless of who it actually is for).

New tools are scary, the excellent team at MakersHub held my hand every step of the way.

I love the look of the tool. The flow of bill/payment cycle is very intuitive. The team is excellent with helping to setup the product and troubleshoot issues.

Cons:

MakersHub is a very powerful tool once it is setup appropriately. The setup process required a lot of support from the MakersHub team which they happily provided!

Absolute delight as a user experience

MakersHub has simplified our weekly AP process. It has allowed us to eliminate the manual preparation of checks and has made it simpler to do ACH payments. The Makershub team has always been very responsive to questions or request for changes.

Allows us to work remotely to process payments. Reduces risk of intercepted checks in the mail. Provides visibility to the process

Cons:

Errors can pop up during scanning. We are not able to take advantage of early pay discounts because it does not scan/calculate the right payment.

Pros:

The amount of time it's saving me, the features make my job easier. The copy down function, the ability of the software to remember my accounts and descriptions is very appreciated.

Cons:

I think it could be better if you update the view of the bills screen to look like the payments screen. The bills & archive screen can be a bit hard to read, but mainly bills when you are trying to find something and you have to look across 3 tiles each row, rather than checking one by one in a row
