About SPM Assets

SPM Assets is a cloud-based asset lifecycle management solution, which helps businesses across real estate, education, healthcare, and government sectors manage property portfolios and plan and forecast projects. It enables users to record, assess, analyze, and manage physical assets.

SPM Assets lets inspectors detect acts of non-compliance or service gaps, create policies and standards and conduct regular assessments. Supervisors can visually check the properties and generate condition reports to forecast expenditures. Users can perform mobile inspections and onsite audits, grade conditions, track asset performance and identify any defects. The solution allows managers to create a schedule of tasks using the maintenance planner, design a work program, and generate graphical reports.

Pros:

The UX is exceptional, most do not require the user guide other than for advanced functions. This speaks volumes for the product.

Cons:

Another tier in the data architecture may be useful, also some addition UDF's in the component and property layers would be a nice addition.

Asset inventory system is great and as a base asset management planning tool

Cons:

Reporting in SPM needs to be better and have the ability to self customize

SPM were great to work with, knew their stuff & very accommodating about customisation.

More timely and reliable reporting on our estate; improved trust in the data by the senior executive; ability to perform predictive modelling; "one-stop shop" for asset data

Pros:

It takes a logical, hierarchical approach to proactive and strategic management of assets without making it too complicated for the average user. It provides all of the necessary predictive reporting without over-complicating it to an extent where we are unable to produce our own reporting. We have been able to customise enough to suit our unique circumstances without needing major adjustments to the standard system and the SPM team were only too happy to assist with these changes.

Cons:

As with any software, data integrity is the key and we have found that it really is a full-time job to ensure that our data is as "clean" as possible to enable our reporting to be meaningful and accurate. We hadn't anticipated the level of resource required, but I expect that this would have been the case with any SAM software and potentially would have been a bigger issue with some packages.
