About Ugenie

Ugenie is a software suite made up of a web portal and a downloadable app. A community collaborating tool and professional membership hub, it enables users to share information and resources with their following in an organized way, offering tips, recommendations, goods, and time without the need to use social media platforms. Membership businesses use it to maintain and grow their communities much like a Facebook group, but with added membership management features and a customized central communications hub.

Instead of worrying about algorithms and advertisement, users focus on bringing the community closer to their content by customizing their Uhub. Ugenie also comes with onboarding support in the form of strategy sessions, and with ongoing assistance for technical issues. Membership businesses that prefer an out-of-the-box, the white-label option can opt for the Uapp service instead, which comes with an app developed in their image and made available on the App Store and Google Play.

Brilliant community building app

Great customer service, fantastic, passionate team of developers who are constantly developing new features to benefit the customers. Would highly recommend.

Pros:

We use Ugenie as our members portal and find it really easy to use, upload all the files and videos too and the members directory is really helpful to have too. It's easily integrated into your business.

Cons:

None at present, I feel that the team at Ugenie are always developing and bringing in new features which in turn means that there's very little to not like about the software.

Reasons for choosing Ugenie

We wanted to support a business that was passionate and taking off the ground, we believed in the team and the app they were growing and wanted to be part of it's growth. There is something exciting about working with a team that is on the same journey as you, and with Ugenie we knew that we would be in good hands, plus the customer service has been brilliant.

Flexible and intuitive platform hosting programme materials and enhancing engagement.

We are really enjoying the benefits our own community brings. Ugenie has simplified and reduced the work in running training programmes and making the content available for our course participants - they only need to go to one place. We no longer have to send mailings to them or remind them of key dates - it is all there in Ugenie for them. Their learning and development experience has also been greatly enhanced by the collaboration and connection they build between themselves enabled by Ugenie.

Pros:

Ugenie provides us with an intuitive platform that enables us to provide our course participants with an experience tailored for them and away from the noise of other social media sites. We are able to curate great material and know that our Tribe can find what they need and not lose themselves or be distracted in the process of doing so. We also love that they can easily connect and communicate with one another and provide mutual support. We also love the high level of technical support and development and the number of new features being released on a regular basis.

Cons:

What did I least like....very difficult to answer. Whenever I have encountered any issues then they have been fixed straight away. If I encounter any features that appear missing then I discover they are on the development list with a planned release date in the near future.

Reasons for choosing Ugenie

It was simple and easy to configure for our needs and the team at Ugenie offer loads of support. Also, Ugenie as a company seem to care about all their customers and we felt that we could be heard and seen unlike some of the software giants out there.

Pros:

Easy to use and understand. Calendar feature was very helpful as well as being able to upload class materials and have everything in one place (especially for a course like this where you are trying to manage multiple people, classes, materials and logistics usually across multiple platforms like Google Docs, Calendar and Whatsapp!).

Cons:

To be honest, I think this was the perfect tool to organise the cohort, it was just a matter of adoption and getting people used to logging into the app to access the materials. I think when you give people an alternative option (eg. Whatsapp) or something they are familiar with (which we did unfortunately!), then they will take the more familiar route...

Pros:

Brilliant app, such a lifesaver. I was worried about the process being the founder of a business and not technical. I didn't need to worry. The whole process was so easy and the aftercare is second to none.

Cons:

I don't dislike anything. It's honestly brilliant.

Innovative Private Network Software

Ugenie let's us share meaningful, relevant and curated content with all our employees. It means that staff can check in to the App whenever they have free time. It is radically reducing the emails that we have to send out so our staff can concentrate on business/client-related emails (and not face extra emails with work-related training content etc).
