About Planview Daptiv

Changepoint PPM is a time and expense management solution designed to help project management office (PMO) leaders, resource managers and executive stakeholders manage hybrid or strategic portfolios, resources and project costs. Administrators can collect and combine portfolio data to define program execution methodologies.

The platform enables managers to identify resource requirements and allocate staff members across multiple programs based on specific skill sets. Changepoint PPM lets stakeholders generate reports to forecast outcomes, predict roadblocks and analyze budget. Additionally, it allows teams to plan development of new products and create strategic goals to streamline project delivery processes.

Changepoint PPM lets businesses integrate the system with several third-party applications including monday.com, Salesforce, Workday, Jira, Oracle, SAP, Trello, MS Dynamics, Asana and more. Pricing is available on request and support is extended via phone, email, contact form, video tutorials, guides and other online measures.

Changepoint PPM has revolutionized my resource management

Overall I am very happy with the product. It only took half an hour training. It is user friendly and powerful.

Pros:

The Team Manager function has helped me soooo much in planning my resourcing. It has particularly helped my team with mental wellness as now I'm not overbooking them. Timesheets have been very useful as well.

Cons:

It can be slow sometimes, particularly the area where you can forecast resource usage across all your projects. I also think it needs more coloring of over or under allocation.

Cons:

It tends to be slow across our organization. There are also some limitations as it relates to resource management, limiting the resource types.

Overall I believe that we have had a positive experience with the platform. We only utilize the app for project management at this time, but I believe that we could grow with the platform and add more services as necessary.

I really appreciate the ability to oversee multiple resources and project plans all within one easy to use system.

Cons:

I wish that it would integrate with MS Teams - or had better collaboration capabilities.

MS Project (at the time) was a very unwieldy product to use. We needed something that could generate reports an and more of a one stop shop for PM's and the management team.

Helps Us Help Ourselves

Daptiv has helped us consolidate all project processes and deliverables into one place which makes providing evidence to auditors much easier and more thorough. A recent IATF auditor commented that our mix of using Daptiv to support our product development process is an industry best practice.

Reporting with Cognos 10 is clunky but looking forward to Cognos 11 with BI functionality

New user to daptiv

The main issue I had before using daptiv was to report numbers and progress you upper management. Daptiv provides the right tools to overcome this.

It’s a very user friendly tool and running reports is very easy to do. I have been using daptiv for just over 6 months and became an administrator in the last 2 months and I am able to upload new projects and edit with ease. I would highly recommend using daptiv for reporting to upper management and finance.

Cons:

There isn’t anything I can think of to say the software does exactly what I need it to do.

Real time view and control of overall portfolio with quick and easy segmentation for targeted reporting, insight and subsequent actions. Simple tool, easy to configure to suit needs of project and programmes of all sizes with no additional configuration required. Powerful reporting tool with Changepoint Analytics with easily consumable and customisable reports to be used as dashboards for full user interactivity
