Great CCMS with full DITA Support

Good Support on implementation process. Frequent updates and appreciated user's feedback takes hopes up that this software is going to fulfill all of DITA Users requirements.

Pros:

Powerful and reliable system that enables us to author content and localize it into 30+ languages. It's rather easy and intuitive to use. It integrated smoothly with the existing business processes.

Cons:

Localization module is one of the features that could be improved and this has already been announced for the next major release.

IT Support needs iXiaSoft support

As a IT Support member, it's mandatory to have a descent support contract. Communication with sales, account manager or support has always been pleasant and correct.

Pros:

As a Technical IT Support members, the on-prem 6.2 version that we are running was, together with iXiaSoft services, straight-forward to setup.

Cons:

The initial intallation and configuration seemed very complex, but with help of iXiaSoft, it was ok.

A great software, especially for teams new to DITA

The web interface is clear and not overwhelming to new users, even when they are not familiar with this type of software or DITA. Bringing new authors or contributors into the software is straightforward.The advanced search and the full-text search are powerful and give good results when tailoring what you are looking for.Workflow

Cons:

More features regarding the editing of images are a point for writers who also produce their own images.

Eclipse version of DITA CMS is complex but does everything you need

Pros:

The Eclipse version is a lot to learn for authors, but provides a lot of functionality for publishing very large documents with a lot of re-use and many profiles. The search is excellent as is the oXygen integration.

Cons:

Needs a good reviewer tool. Unfortunately, with the development of the web version there is no further development of the Eclipse version.
