About Glotio

Glotio is a machine translation tool specialised in PrestaShop and soon for Woocommerce and Shopify and translations are completed automatically without importing or exporting texts. Users can create their own translation rules or exclude certain words from translations.
How it works:

After creating the account, Glotio downloads the texts, and calculates all the translatable characters in each language.
You can decide the fields in Advanced settings, define words from your own dictionary, and add words to your exclusions list.
You will be able to see how many languages you can translate into, including the characters of each language and the budget for each language.
Glotio starts translating and uploads the translated texts to your website.
Once Glotio has finished you can check your translation: remember to activate a language selector and clear the cache.
The system allows you to update your translations every day so you'll be able to have your website always translated.

"Glotio" is a Powerful and delegated translater for the PrestaShop store. It offers customers your store translated into their native languages which makes it easier for customer engagement. Very easy to install and set up with the store, Compatible with all browsers.

A translation Service that you can rely.

Before using glotio we would use services from fiver. It was a very time-consuming task as first, we need to search for a translator. Then would have to copy the text to a document file and then send it to the person for translation. After getting it back after 2 4 days we have to manually put it on the site. All this had to be done for each language we are using. As one can imagine it was a tedious task. After Glotio all this hassle is gone, we have our translation up and running on our site literally in no time at all. Also without spending too much money.

- Very easy to use and integrate - Tracking and workflow are very smooth - Can translate the whole website in a matter of minutes - As compared to other translation services Glotio is very cheap

Cons:

- After searching for translatable content, it would be very nice if Glotio can show exact page links that will be translated. - Related to what I have written above when we are trying to translate the same content into multiple languages it shows the characters count for each. If the characters count is more or less in one language as compared to others then Glotio should show that extra content or page link for that content. So users can verify if something is missing or being translated extra.

It's very easy to use and and the first language is free to translate! The integration with PrestaShop is very straightforward.

Cons:

It can be bit pricey in the long term - but happy to pay it for the ease of use and no hassle translations.

Traducciones muy rápidas

Muy buena. No he tenido problemas con ellos, todo funciona bien y muy rápido. Para el coste que tiene te ahorra mucho tiempo y merece la pena. Eso sí, solo vale para según qué idiomas y qué tipos de texto porque la traducción es automática y se le sacan muchos fallos.

Pros:

Es una solución muy muy rápida. En apenas unos minutos puedes tener una web traducida al idioma que quieres. Si tienes un CMS compatible, instalar el módulo es muy sencillo y no necesitas saber nada a nivel técnico. Solo seleccionas los apartados de la web que quieres traducir, lanzas el proceso de presupuesto y a los minutos tienes el coste total. Una vez aceptado, en unos minutos tienes las traducciones hechas y cambiadas directamente en la web.

Cons:

Es una traducción automática por lo que para según qué casos e idiomas hace traducciones bastante reguleras. Puedes utilizar las reglas y el buscar/reemplazar para mejorar dichas traducciones, pero si quieres tener una buena traducción no te sirve.

Reasons for switching to Glotio

Porque los productos cambian más a menudo y suelen tener nombre y descripción bastantes simples por lo que tienen menos fallos a la hora de hacer la traducción automática. Cuando tratamos con catálogos muy grandes, tener que contratar una traducción a una empresa, nos lleva mucho tiempo y con Glotio es muy rápido y sabes que siempre se actualizará todo lo que subas nuevo.

Traducción automática en Prestashop

En general creemos que es una buena herramienta para poder lanzar nuevos idiomas rápido y a un precio contenido.

Es una buena herramienta que ayuda a poder internacionalizar de forma rápida en Prestashop.

Cons:

La configuración inicial, aunque no fue demasiado complicada si que tuvo algún reto, pero el servicio de soporte nos asistió para poder conseguir que funcionara bien. Como ya se menciona, en algunos casos las traducciones automáticas son literales, y hay que revisar que tengan sentido una vez realizadas, esto se puede solucionar configurando dentro de la herramienta.

Pero gracias a las herramientas avanzadas de Diccionario y Lista de exclusiones su IA aprende tus reglas y la traduccion mejora mucho. Sin olvidar que gracias al Buscar y Reemplazar se pueden corregir sobre la marcha los errores mas evidentes de la traduccion automatica. Permite traducir de forma masiva y automática todos los contenidos de tu web. Muy rápido y profesional, la traducción de 10.

Cons:

La herramienta detecta cuando se actualiza el contenido original y vuelve a traducirlo. Esto puede suponer un coste extra algo elevado si editas de forma habitual tus contenidos.

Nos gustaria ayudarte a utilizar las herramientas avanzadas, para resolver los problemas de "mala traduccion" mas obvios, inevitables con un traductor automatico (siempre es una maquina): Diccionario para agregar tus propios terminos; las palabras excluidas son aquellos terminos que deben dejarse exactamente como en el idioma predeterminado; Buscar y reemplazar, para reemplazar ciertas palabras o frases mal traducidas, que encuentra precisamente las palabras mal traducidas y las reemplaza por las correctas, una vez que se haya realizado al menos una traduccion.
