About Dentrix

Dentrix is a practice management solution designed to help dental clinics manage appointment scheduling, payment processing, patient records and more. With Dentrix document center, practitioners can create, store and archive documents such as explanation of benefits (EOBs), x-ray images, insurance claims and more in a centralized repository.

The Dentrix communications manager enables medical professionals to interact with patients via email and text messaging and patients can send their appointments’ confirmations in real-time. Dentists can utilize the treatment planner to update patients' health information, add procedural steps and automatically send information to the patient’s ledger.

Dentrix allows medical clinics to review patients’ historical records, file insurance claims, print statements and track financial transactions in real-time. Pricing is available on request and support is extended via phone, email and other online measures.

As someone who lives at the intersection of patient experience, practice growth, and operational efficiency, I’ve worked with my fair share of dental practice management systems. But Dentrix is one that consistently delivers the depth and insights a marketing executive like me needs to grow a practice strategically and sustainably.

Cons:

Dentrix has a bit of a learning curve. When training new employees, it takes sometime to go over the software functions and find your flow in utilizing the features that Dentrix provides.

Dentrix-the Epitome of Patient Care

Dentrix has been a great software to use in patient care. It is up to date, accurate, and quick. I am never waiting on a lagging screen. I love that Dexis and other software easily integrate into it.

I love how user friendly it is. It is a clean and simple software to understand. When onboarding new employees, there is great ease.

Cons:

I do think that it needs a little bit of a facelift. It looks like we are still practicing dentistry in the 2010's

I LOVE DENTRIX!

Working with Dentrix for 20+ years has been great. I started using the software as a dental assistant, and then receptionist to now as an Office Manager. It's AMAZING!!

I love the ability to pull any reports and their accuracy. Dentrix is easy to use and easy for new team members to grasp.

Cons:

I dislike when we have errors that affect the whole Dentrix system. But other than that, I have no issues nor concerns with Dentrix.

Dentrix keeps our dental office in step.

It pushed our patient flow and decreased the time spent on admin. Billing is easier and we have had much less scheduling trouble since we switched to Dentrix.

The documentation that automatically pulls from visit to visit is great, as I can plan and treat faster as well as be consistent across providers. It is also very easy to rearrange scheduling at the last moment when plans change.

Cons:

The UI is a little old fashioned, and it took a longer time to get onboarded than I would have liked. Some staff required extra support to feel comfortable.

Great program for the dental community

I use dentrix daily in my practice. I use it to keep up to date with my patients, their schedules and appointments. I also use it to help facilitate reviews for my Google page

Ehh there’s better

I would say my overall experience with denturists is fair definitely not. My favorite would probably not refer any other dental offices to that software.

I have to say it is hard to find something that I really do like about Dentrix. But if I were to pick something, I would have to say the ledger was fairly easy to read. Scheduling was also pretty convenient.

Cons:

So many things that I can say that I like lease about Dentrix the ledger and reporting we’re not my favorite in particular with the reporting it’s just not user-friendly they take forever to load, and the ledger itself is just not user-friendly because you do not allocate payments to any procedures, so you really don’t know what the money was for unless you make a note within the payment, which is kind of cumbersome
