Value for Money

I gave a 60 days notice to cancel our account and they shut down our access 2 weeks later. Right now I have customers calling that want us to do work and I can't schedule them. I cannot add any parts or labor that my service technicians are out there doing. I also don't have access to the jobs completed from April 1 - present that we haven't billed for yet. I have spoken to our account manager and she doesn't have authority to get us back in line. Getting someone to call me back is next to impossible.

Pros

It worked much better than scheduling and tracking customer data in Excel. For us to go from very manual to using software and an app was good.

Cons

Very little flexibility
A LOT of manual and very time consuming tasks required for a software that should allow for automation

I wish i could say something positive about this product but i simply cant, complete waste of my time

Cons

Can't have more than one job sheet/form. That's ok they said, you can have unlimited questions on one job sheet. However, you have to have all of these questions on every form even when it's not relevant.

Ease-of-use

Functionality

Customer Support

Value for Money

The biggest down side is they make you sign up for a minimum of 12 months which I believe shows a lack of confidence in the product. Lets face it if the product was good people would continue to use it. Beware when your contract runs out you cannot access any of the information including any outstanding jobs that need to be invoiced.

Pros

Basic scheduling, quoting and invoicing, however does not have the project management capability for construction work. Unable to raise variation orders or progress payments.

Cons

Software is very clunky and can be quite frustrating to use. Not being able to access the admin portal from a mobile device is also another down side because you cannot add or edit jobs while you are on the run.

Limited use other than tracking the vehicle. Nothing good to say about the system or support!

Cons

Not easy to use. No support. In 4 years as a client we had 8 client managers, every time we called the manager was gone and we had to start with a new one again. Account receivable was probably the worst I ever seen. They would misplace payment and not return call plus again it never was the same person you dealt with. Your contracts are 36 months and if you add a vehicle it a new contract for 36 months for that one vehicle. You end up with multiple contract ending all at different dates.

Pros

I like the fact that everyone is listed under the job so ease of access is great. No need to go to multiple sections to gather the information needed.

Cons

The software can not be completed catered to the needs of the Company. There is a update out there that completely changes how the system is viewed. When I contacted them to discuss they stated the developers feel it would be easier for the users. It is not so I refuse to switch over to the new version.

Pros

If you access everything from the admin side it works fine, but since most companies don't want technicians having full access that doesn't work.
There is an app for the technicians, but it has very low functionality. It's constantly locking up and kicking the tech's out of their work orders. Doesnt work on Ipad or iphone which it says it should.

Cons

Too glitchy, app locks up constantly, tech's have to close and restart app, they are constantly re-entering information because of the glitches. Tech's can't review customer and equipment history unless they open a work order

There are a lot of options available. I would look elsewhere for a solution before going with this software.

Pros

Ease of use - the software is easy to use and set up. I like the custom fields that can be set up for tracking.

Cons

Limited functionality, very poor reporting, little support with problems. Custom fields are useless if I can't report on them. There is very little tracking for audit purposes in the software so if someone is making errors on data entry, you can't determine who it is.

they don't respect our business , they don't respect their company, and they don't take pride in their job.
i was asking my self where is management in this company , the answer is there is no management.
don't sale what you cant deliver because the next paragraph is whats gonna happen
i am sending them a 30 day notice from our legal department .
and getting out of this relationship if you still do business with this company after you read this don't complain after.

Cons

Would not recommend this company under any circumstance.
i purchased 150 with logbook units to be installed with 200 more unit option, was promised installation will take 45 days for the first 100 units 6 1/2 month later i have had 90 units installed and on DEC 18 2017 my account leader notify me that we may have 32 out of the 90 units that logbook will work on them since they install the wrong units.
since then i was promised that 100 units will be overnight to me to rectify the situation to this moment i have not received any units email or any call from anyone in Verizon WORK.
despite the fact i emailed them daily since, with no respond what so ever.
this after i tortured for 6 /12 month with there scheduling department that never call you or answer the phone,
they will ask you to send a list 20 times for the same units and never be proactive and do there job finishing what ever was assigned to be installed .
there billing department do not respond and will charge you different rates then what was agreed and before charges should apply.
each department at Verizon WORK is a stand alone if they need to communicate good luck with that it take weeks .
in short they don't respect our business , they don't respect their company, and they don't take pride in their job

DO NOT BUY, you will regret it

Cons

there is zero customer service, they are never available and unfortunately, they are needed far too often.

The glitches are extremely bad and due to a software "error" on the invoice side, i have lost thousands of pounds. when making a complaint i managed to finally get to a director who promised me he would look into it and almost a week later he said, "the system doesn't work the way you want it to" and fobbed me off with no help, i threatened to sue them and he practically said bring it on. this company is by far the worst experience I have ever, ever had the displeasure to have been suckered into. after making the complaint i find myself locked out of the account and no one available to sort the issue. I can guarantee that they have yet again messed up the payments (which happens so frequently) they didn’t charge me for 6 months, and then called up and threatened to cut me off when they are the ones responsible for taking payments.

Whatever you do find another company, this one will sell the software as the best thing ever, sign you up to a contract and once you've signed it tell you its for 3 years and there is no way of getting out of it.

I could mention so many more things that are wrong about this company, but if you still buy it after reading this, good luck to you, you will need it.

Would not recommend this company as a work platform. From the limitations of their platform to the extent of their billing issues to the poor customer service, this is a poor provider all around.

Pros

Dispatch board is a decent portal for scheduling. Beyond this there has been very little positive with this program that I would recommend.

Cons

Used the system for 2 years. In that time, they have multiple programming issues. Including an error that took recurring jobs which were scheduled for 2 days and booked hundreds of calls for the same recurring issue months out. Resulting in thousands of calls on our schedule that needed to be removed once at a time. Took days to delete and further spent days helping their tech department to resolve the issue. Their programmer found an error in their system and did correct it but sorry about our luck for the cost and time to repair. Reimbursed us for a months service as thats all they could do. We have had numerous billing errors over the past two years and getting any resolution from them takes a minimum of 6 calls in my experience. Nobody is capable of making any decision regarding assisting a customer. We notified them that we were cancelling the contract with 90 days notice (60 required) and got confirmation of this. 2 weeks later I inquired as to the cancellation and was told nothing was in the system. Cancelled again following their process. Found out again that this hadn't been done. Wanted to lock me into another year of payment.

Ease-of-use

Value for Money

Pros

The program is fairly straight forward, and easy to use. Booking calls is easy, once you have the clients already in the system.

Cons

Being very simple, it can be kinda clunky. It is hard to look up the history of a client, when you are already in the middle of booking a call. You have to exit the scheduler, and open up each call to see what was performed on each visit. It can be very cumbersome, when you are on the phone with a client and just trying to figure out how to proceed. We find the program fairly slow to load clients and work history, and there isn't an easy way to combine duplicates in clients or calls.
When we notified Verizon WORK that we were cancelling our services and moving to another company that had a more full billing program, they started nickle and diming us. It was like they were trying to screw us for any extra money they could get out of us.

Too glitchy, app locks up constantly, tech's have to close and restart app, they are constantly re-entering information because of the glitches. Tech's can't review customer and equipment history unless they open a work order. Time tracking is a headache to try and figure out, there is not a report that pulls time associated to "Job Cards" with the pauses figured in, its just reports the whole time the card has been open.

I have had one of the worst experiences of my business life with this company. Every vehicle they installed a gps unit on, started having major issues. I have reached out to them to get this resolved, but no one answers their phone or returns my calls. More than 1 month later and several different installers and the problems continue with the company telling me to take it to a mechanic to get the issues fixed and they will reimburse me. They have installers who are not in any way qualified to install these units and they leave the customer with the problem of getting the vehicles fixed. I have never had such a bad experience with a company. I am waiting for the camera crew to pop out and tell me it was just a horrible practical joke. I can say without a doubt, this company only cares about its large customers. Any company with 5-10 vehicles doesn't warrant good customer service. I had them remove all the units yesterday and now I have to get all of my vehicles fixed. If you dont have 50 or more vehicles, Verizon WORK and verizon will not give you any support or customer service and leave you with holding the bag of problems they created.

Pros

.

Cons

I wish I could say there are some. Dealing with this company has been a nightmare. I have never had such a bad experience with a company. How can a national company have such poor customer service.
Horrible customer service. Installers who do not know what they are doing. They completely screwed up my vehicles and left me holding the bag to get them fixed. Offering to remimburse me.

Cons

The sales team are misleading, they claim the system is fully customizable to your needs. In fact, everyone uses the same platform, the only customization is the ability to add your logo and your customers. If the job has multiple people working on it, you gave to create a work order for each person working on the job. This is very redundant and a huge waster of time. The system needs vats improvement. The system is basically good for use by a delivery service. It is not good for any type of service business. If you are a contractor wanting to use this software and app, STAY AWAY! It is huge waste of time.

We signed up for a trial and was lied to by the Sales rep... We were sucked into a contract for 12 months after cancelling. that cost us an additional 18 thousand dollars. They threatened to shut off our GPS account with them if we did not agree to pay them. Basically holding over 85 GPS units hostage, with the cost of 100 dollars each to reconnect them. They participate in Shady business tactics or sales tactics.

Pros

Hardly any, except it would be a great scheduling and work order software for a snow cone truck maybe. It is easy to use, only one work order form for all jobs performed by the company. So there are so many unused entries on the form that are not being used. The layout is ok, the speed of the software is ok. Verizon WORK purchased this work order software from a company, they did not create the software.

Cons

Poor Form Functionality
Terrible customer service
They treat their paying customers terrible
The software is very limited
Not easily customizable like they say

Advice to Others

It is not a serious software for any company larger than 5 users.
Its not for a company that needs sophisticated reports.
Bad business practices - they auto-renew your multi-year contract if you do not cancel 90days prior to the contract end date. They will not let you do month to month after your first contract is up. This is to tie you up and its even sneaky to get more money out of you even though the software is not working for your company. Instead of making the software better, they try to gut you. Most companies would not be able to survive after they did what they did to us. Its very sad, because the GPS software is great. Again the customer service is terrible, but you rarely need it on the GPS side. Beware, read all contracts, even have your lawyers read the contracts. Do not do business with them, he will lie on the phone and not hold up his part of the bargain.

Stahlman-England, INC began using Verizon WORK in January 2015. The overall program was easy to implement and the Customer Support was beyond expectations! This program was less expensive than all other Service Programs and accomplished a lot more with regard to “real-time”, invoicing, reports, quotes, and customer follow-up. This Program has enhanced our business and the endless features Verizon WORK offers, is still being discovered and incorporated into our business plan

EXCELLENT FOR CONSOLIDATED CLIENT INFORMATION, SERVICE APPOINTMENTS & SCHEDULING, INVOICING, PROFITABILITY, AND DETAILED REPORTS!

Pros

• Verizon WORK gives me, as Director of Corporate Operations, essential detailed productivity reports within seconds.

• Instead of needing 2 to 3 different software programs, Verizon WORK alone produces these reports.

• With a click, I have reports of total revenue including breakdown of labor, parts, travel time and actual job duration.

• Our technicians are able to sell more by doing quotes instantly. This exciting, real-time “Quotes” feature allows our office to email these figures within an hour, thereby closing more sales than ever before.

• Verizon WORK has allowed us to streamline and fast-track our paperwork; one-hour tasks are now done in minutes. Verizon WORK enabled our transition from piles of paperwork to next-generation technology.

Cons

PRODUCT ENHANCEMENT of certain issues. Example, more than one email address, speed of program when changing on the dashboard.

Verizon WORK is an invaluable tool.
Alerting staff to jobs they need to attend is done in less than a minute. Verizon WORK tells me where each of our team members are located and at what time. I can also track the progress of jobs from start to finish.
Our staff are able to record their work via notes and photographs, as well obtain electronic signatures from our clients. Additionally, I am able to provide reporting to our clients at the completion of jobs.
Verizon WORK is key in the running of our jobs.

Basically being able to set up jobs in advance or on the spot, to enter the time in, and have it come up on the field worker app, reminds me of what¿s coming up and reminds me to clock in, I like that side of it best. It works well for my business. I don't use Verizon WORK to the extent that it could be used but it suits my needs. I just find with Verizon WORK, it makes my daily work life a lot easier and more efficient. If I record all my work with this program/ app, which syncs with my laptop and desktop computer, prepare invoices and send across to Xero, I know I¿m capturing everything. So if I miss something out it¿s my own fault because it¿s so convenient to set up a job, record start and finish time, make notes and raise client invoices on a timely basis.

We no longer have office staff using their time putting together paper-work or documents and our technicians are no longer losing time coming into the office to drop off and pick up documents. It's now all done on the computer and sent straight to them via Verizon WORK. I can get instant job feedback, instant invoicing and instant follow up. It's great!
