Verizon Connect Work is a cloud-based field service solution that allows users to organize schedules, manage and track job progress and manage dispatching process.

Office and field workers can receive job information and updates on mobile devices. Schedules, invoices, quotes, customer information and more can be stored in the solution’s database. It allows users to drag and drop unassigned jobs to their calendars.

All customer details can be viewed in one location. Users can add multiple contact details, site locations, documents, images and log phone calls for each client.

Verizon Connect Work integrates with a number of accounting packages. Users can check availability and schedule open slots in a calendar format as well as create recurring jobs for regular projects. Users can also generate reports to analyze business activity. Verizon Connect Work offers a mobile application for iOS and Android devices.

Support is available via phone, email and through an online knowledge base.

Definitely has some glitches

Specifically, Verizon One Talk has acceptable features, but something is wrong when I can't hear the client's voice.

Pros

Allows work phone number to ring to cell phone, can turn on/off do not disturb when not at 'work'... both personal cell and work phone ring on cell phone, with different ringtones. Great work from home feature, accessing phone from anywhere the cell phone goes. Business expense can qualify entire phone bill to be written off on taxes.

Cons

Customers complain that the sound is low and they cannot hear me. Also the phone 'blinks out' after a few minutes of conversation. Phone call is still connected, but I cannot hear the client speaking , and they can still hear me. I have to put phone on speaker, then back to handset in order to reconnect with client, faking a cell reception glitch, .... very interrupting and disconnecting professionally. Uninstalling and re installing does not fix the problem. Often I have to just use my direct cell as back up.

In my opinion the Verizon Connect Work is a SCAM, they will CON you into believing they can customise their software. My advice to anyone looking for software to streamline their business would be KEEP LOOKING, do not to get sucked in by their smooth sales talk.

Pros

The only thing this company does well is their sales pitch and they are also very happy to and good at taking your money without providing any usable software.

Cons

Be very wary, they promise the earth.... to get you to commit to a 12 month contract. They promise to have the ability to customise their software to achieve what you need it to be capable of doing. They are good at reassuring you there's solutions to the software's shortcomings and then fail miserably because they never provide any solutions or support. This company managed to CON me into a contract to pay THOUSANDS of dollars for a subscription license to access software that was completely unusable. We could not and did not use their software as it was incapable of continuing to implement our customer service scheduling, nor could they manage to customise the invoicing software to achieved what was promised. BE WARNED they will be happy to take your money without providing any thing usable and then refuse to refund any portion of the subscription fees paid.

This terrible company only cares about a contract. Don't fall for this scam. Its basically a Gym Contract Scam. Don't be fooled. Buy a GPS tracker online and save a fortune.

Plain and simple, the salesman did his job to sell a contract to hook you into it, and if it sounds too good to be true. it is.. as it does not do what they said it would do. No help in resolving the issue, doing their best to keep that 36 month contract. Going legal route to resolve! They may as well be sham artists that get paid off of hard working peoples backs with no regard for their words to sell you !

Scam, great salesmen, worthless product

Scam artist and Verizon should be ashamed.

Pros

I was told the product seamlessly intigrated with QBs desktop, which was great but it did not.

Cons

They are the cons, salesman explained it would meet every need I had and there was no trial or sample. Now I know why because it is an old program that is simple at best in its abilities. They tutorial they show you is not how it work. STAY AWAY! I am stuck in a year contract that will be cheaper than wasting time trying to fix this product with them which will end in defeat anyway. We are an Electrical contractor!

Pros

Ability to track my equipment. We have GPS units in our motor graders, trucks and mowers. These are the vehicles that are involved in road maintenance and snow removal and are subject to complaints from drivers and roadside landowners.

We settled a lawsuit because we could not prove where our equipment was during the period preceeding a motor cycle accident. We can now account for where our equipment is at any time it is operating when a liability complaint is lodged against our department.

Cons

The map display sometimes doesn't show the names of our roads unless we zoom in closely. This has improved since we have started, but on our local road system, the name of the road still does not appear until we zoom in close. This is an annoyance, but not something we would consider switching products because of it.

Terrible product

If I could give any company advice about the software I would say do not waste your time!! Our office was down for one full week with no invoicing getting done before we made the decision to not move forward with this software. After the software proved to be non-user friendly and the invoicing could not be as detailed as we need to be we decided this software was not going to work. We reached out to customer service a good 20-25 times. Each time the response time taking longer and longer. Then it became like they didn't want to help at all, passing my issue from one tech to another. The unfortunate part is we signed a contract which we could not cancel. We are now paying a monthly fee until our contract is over for something our company cannot use because their software is not what they promised it to be.

Pros

You can schedule and and invoice in the same software. Your Technicians out in the field can download an app and update customers file and invoice out in the field.

Cons

But if you are already working in Quickbooks, the transition of crossing over your customer database is quite the process. You will actual be completely down while this process takes place. Which from just the export from Quickbooks and the import to work takes a alot of time. (We took even longer because we had to change the structure of how our customers were built in Quickbooks, which our sales person never told us we would have to do)

Seamless tracking of precise fleet locations. Took all the stress out of monthly mileage reporting to ODOT -- set it up for reports to be automatically emailed to me at month-end.

Cons

The report center does not seem as user-friendly as it could be. The filter options can be a little confusing and it can be hard to find the report you're looking for (distance traveled is what you need for monthly mileage by truck). Customer service was extremely lacking -- it took months to get a response after the initial buy-in. At the time, we felt like no one cared after we signed the contract -- however, we now feel that we were likely just part of the flooded market and got lost in the shuffle during the ELD mandate -- the market was flooded at once with people desperate to stay compliant. We have not had any issues after all was setup, so we have not had a reason to contact them again.

Fake system and Fake customer support

They required me to sign a membership contract for 5 technicians to get started. I told them I would be canceling if things didn't work, they said that is okay. The contract I signed locked me into this for 12 months. I kept trying to cancel because implementation & syncing wasn't working and we never started using the product. At the end of 12 months, I called to let them know I fulfilled my end of their stupid contract and that I needed the monthly fees to stop. They said the contract automatically renewed and there is nothing they could do, so we are locked in for another 12 months. I have now been paying for this Fake software system for 20 months and I still can't get this canceled. I have talked to multiple people who said they will help me, but it is just smoke and mirrors. I am reporting them to the BBB.

Pros

Never could get this to work with our system. Difficulty to get our rep and customer support on the line to help with the syncing process.

Cons

The sync process froze our Quickbooks system and caused a lot of chaos. We ended up getting new computers to hopefully get things to run better but it still didn't work.

The initial presentation with their rep. He was impressive so we signed up with them.

Cons

The implementation has been horrific. Multiple training meetings cancelled. Signed up two weeks ago and we still don't have an invoice form in their system. The proof they sent us our artwork was distorted, stretched and off center. We had cancelled our old system and had to go back to PAPER INVOICING until we could get reinstated with our prior system.
