Truckbase simple, efficient and reliable

Between the setup, ease of use, and customer support along the way. I'd say we are pleased we decided to go with Truckbase as our TMS.

Pros:

It's simple, easy to integrate into our operations, and saves us time. The first impression I got was thankfully not a false one. Truckbase is user-friendly, not overly complicated, and for a small asset-based carrier, a big time saver!

Cons:

The one feature I suggested is that they develop the driver app to prompt drivers at each stop to take a picture of the freight versus being open ended with it still being up to the driver to rember to take pictures at each stop.

Reasons for choosing Truckbase

Wasn't as spread all over as what they were offering. Truckbase seemed to focus on what mattered most to us. Not being a jack of all trades but a master of one.

Pros:

Our team would 100% recommend Truckbase! It has made our lives in dispatch way easier. I was a skeptic at first you can even ask Holden, our sales rep. I for sure thought that the AI load confirmation entering would have so many errors and I would be right back to hand entering loads. We did settle on the EDI as well, game changer! No more tracking shipments, it's only uploading the POD for the customer on their portal. It's fantastic having all dispatch and billing in one single app. We can pull up the BOL's in seconds for the customer or broker requesting them. Truckbase has wonderful customer / technical support!! Vlad has helped me right away when I have any questions :)

Cons:

A messaging center for drivers. Hoping to them directly and as a whole mass message. I was informed that are working on that.

Saved so much time entering loads and a lot easier to dispatch drivers.

I don’t like it

Now, we manually have to download/upload hundreds of invoices that stuck in Truckbase. Why? Because they were billed from Truckbase BEFORE we integrate with QuickBook online. No one told us about this scenario, of course…They sold us a flawless cooperation.

Pros:

I am still looking for any feature that I would like about Truckbase.

Cons:

No training videos available, you need to call/email and wait for response. Everything takes forever, and not too much organized. They offer 30 minute sessions, then they send you a recording of the session. That’s all you can use. Other companies offer: chat, customer service, on-site training, FAQs…just to name a few.

A newly hired dispatcher recommended this product to the owner.

Very thankful we made the move to Truckbase

It has been a much smoother transition than we expected. Truckbase has literally saved us 20 plus hours per week in duplicate tasks, order entry, dispatching, billing, etc. The driver scan feature allows us to invoice almost immediately once the load is delivered, speeding up cash flow up to a full 7 days on loads that deliver on Mondays. The software and app are very user-friendly, allowing smooth implementation even with our older, less tech-savvy drivers. Customer service is superb in making sure we are satisfied, fixing/helping us through any issues that arise, and asking for suggestions on improvements. And they are constantly innovating. 2 updates with very useful features have come out in the less than 2 months we have been using the software.

Simplifies order creation, dispatching, paperwork collection and billing. Integrates with Geotab and Quickbooks Online. Notifies customers with load status changes. Superb customer service and continued innovation

Cons:

We have experienced a few bugs, but their team is very quick to correct them. Really, nothing significant.

Appeared more user-friendly. Overall fit our needs better. Much better customer support was evident even in our early communication. Continued innovation. Simple pricing structure.

Pros:

When I first reached out to TruckBase, everyone I contacted was extremely friendly and responsive. I found that their product was one of the only ones on the market that had an easy to use platform, good value for the price, and the AI PDF importer. I save so much time by not having to hand type everything from my rate confirmations into TruckBase. If a RC does not read properly, I can send it over to support for it to be "trained". They are proactive in getting things right for the customer. The team updates you when they are having updates or any bugs in the system that slow it down. TruckBase consistently checks in on the company to make sure that we are satisfied with their product. The possibilities seem endless with what TruckBase has the ability to do. We are a smaller company with less than 20 drivers, mostly owner-operators.

Cons:

I wish the AI PDF importer was able to use from handheld devices or my iPad. It would make it easier to use for on the road.

Truck Base for the Win

Game changing! TB has saved me so many hours in nagging drivers for proofs, invoicing, settlement creation, etc. I love the integrations with QuickBooks and our factoring company as well. I would say this software easily saves me 20 hours a week.

Pros:

There are many things I live most about Truckbase but the ones that are top of mind would be: User friendly, proof of delivery scanner for drivers, rate con import AI, invoice QA integration, and incredible over and above customer service. I get my questions answered quickly and their team proactively checks in with me to make sure our transition is going well.

Cons:

I haven't been able to get use out of it from my phone, but I also forgot to ask [sensitive content hidden] if there is something I should be doing differently.

Reasons for choosing Truckbase

Responsive and friendly sales team and the ease of use of the software. Axon was too stuff and old school and way over priced. Trucking Hub was a little cheaper but didn't have all the features like integrations quite rolled out yet and the developer was wearing all the hats. Truckbase team were professional and gave a really great impression.

Truckbase has been great to work with! The customer service team is top notch. They always answer my questions quickly and if there are issues they are resolved in a timely manner. All the interactions have been inviting and handled with the highest level of professionalism. I would recommend Truckbase to anyone in the Trucking industry.

I am impressed by the ease of use and intuitive nature of the user interface. The customer support staff is second to none.

Cons:

Downloading large amounts of data can be slow but this is improving. This is due to how I am using Truckbase. With all the new integrations I will not need to download large data sets.

Reasons for switching to Truckbase

More functionality and cost. I was not involved with the initial set up.

Pros:

The software is very easy to use and we are no longer doing paper dispatches. Truckbase took our dispatching to the 21st century.

Cons:

The software that we were using prior to Truckbase was old but it was free. It's a tough pill to swallow when you have to start paying for something new.

Reasons for switching to Truckbase

Filemaker was much more expensive to go mobile and didn't give us everything that we were looking for in a dispatch software.

Best TMS in town!

Truckbase is a wonderful TMS! It solved a lot of our operational and administrative headaches. As our company scales, Google sheets was no longer sufficient and this is where Truckbase took the torch to help us move forward and grow more easily. It is a great platform created and maintained by a great team.

The ease of use, quick helpful support, and willingness of management to understand and implement reasonable feature requests.

Cons:

There are minimal integrations - although Truckbase is continuing to add more (such as recent fuel integration with Wex/EFS). Price is very high. No monthly or even quarterly fee structure.

Seemed more modern and more suitable for our operation.

Great for Consolidation and Easy to Use

The Truckbase team is very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The software has also been a game changer for our accounting department.

Software is very easy to implement. Keeps documents and loads very organized. Great for companies that deal with multiple drops and consolidation.

Cons:

A newer software so have to be patient with reports and updates. A lot of cool cool features but unfortunately can’t pull all the info accurately yet.
