About Datacor ERP

Datacor ERP (formerly Chempax) is an integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) application designed specifically for chemical process manufacturers and distributors. The solution can be scaled to meet the needs of companies of any size and offers both on-premise and hosted deployment options.

Datacor ERP includes a fully integrated, comprehensive suite of applications that focus on all the unique requirements of chemical manufacturers and distributors. In addition to robust CRM functionality, Datacor ERP also offers ERP features like MRP, MES, product lifecycle management, supplier and supply chain management, business intelligence and more. The solution also offers accounting tools with both multi-language and multi-currency support.

Features specific to process manufacturers include cfr21Part 11 compliance and Cradle-to-Grave lot tracking. Distribution-specific features include multi-source purchasing and rebates and price support (CUPS).

Users can raise their query and get support through phone and email service or can go through the exhaustive training course available on their website.

Pros:

Data collection and integration of operational functions all the way to financial reporting.

Cons:

Our company is still utilizing softwares/functions outside of Chempax like SDS, Minitab, BOL processing, fixed assets. etc.

The operation side of Solomon was very much lacking in functionality.

I started working with Chempax almost 11 years ago and what it lacks in functionality it makes up with such a great support team. I say this because I would rather have that than a perfect ERP system with terrible customer service. Great Job Guys and Thank You!!!!!

The thing I like most is the support I receive. They are available in any situation and make themselves available at the yearly conference.

Cons:

Integrating with 3rd party applications in a more modern fashion is difficult. I hope the public API portal will be done soon.

For a complex system, the tool is fairly intuitive and allows me to find what I need in due time.

Cons:

Customer setup is very manual. If that could be automated, it would be a great help. Managing remarks are a challenge when the notes are outdated.

All the different functions you have available. The customer screen is an awesome tool. I also like being able to schedule future pricing

I don’t like How slow it is to enter orders and how I have to open a whole new screen to print or email a quote.

Pros:

It’s cleaner and easier to find things than our previous AS400 system. It gives me more freedom to go back and change things on the AR side. We also enjoy the reports we can pull from this system.

Cons:

We still have some problems with getting packing slips and invoice amounts to match in some areas due to backorder issues.

This is a very interesting thing to have. I love learning more about the system and getting hands on help with things i needed help worh at the offoce bur its so hard over the email.
