Meraki Automation Platform Fills in the Gaps

Pros:

As we scale our Meraki-based MSP solutions we have found the native dashboard to be limited with respect to en masse configuration changes of group policy, firewall rules, QoS and traffic shaping, as well as a restricted functionality of templates and network creation/activation. The Boundless platform leverages Meraki's API to fill in those gaps. If you have delved into the Meraki developer page and thought about all the things you wish you had the time and resources to do, this is where Boundless comes in. They have built a nice UI and are continuing to develop and add more features. Their support is great and their pricing is reasonable. I look forward to continue working with them in the future.

Cons:

No complaints about the core functionality. Whenever I have observed error codes or UI issues Boundless has fixed them promptly.

Does all the things we always wanted meraki to do.

They do everything they can to get their product to do what we ask. I haven't seen any product as well polished in recent years that we've tested, or that add so much of a quality of life improvement to working with meraki networks.

Pros:

The ability to audit and manage all parts of a meraki network or device config, across as many clients, different orgs, different networks as we want. As an MSP, we have many clients using meraki devices, so managing them all from a single pane of glass helps our daily jobs immensly.

Cons:

Importing many meraki orgs takes some time (this is more of limitation on meraki API calls), but not a lot of effort.

Reasons for choosing Boundless Automation

Auvik is SNMP monitoring and management, Boundless Automation is full API management of any number of meraki netwroks you would like, all remediation and auditing available across as many different meraki orgs as we could want. There is not another product like this out there being developed currently.

I love how much you can see under one pane of glass. Having access to info across all ORGs is amazing!

Cons:

It does not look like it is keeping up with the new Meraki features on the dashboard. Some of the alerts that are new are not in the dashboard -- but Dev's are keen to work on adding new features.

Platform is very intuitiv and easy to integrate The network creation feature helps me deploy new newtorks in few clicks and I can use the Flextemplates to automate the configuration of those networks

Cons:

Meraki APIs only cover 60% of the dashboard features so it is not possible to automate my entire process

Pros:

This is a tool that we are using to help make the IT processes faster in our organization. It was easy to implement and to use.

Cons:

I was just an end-user of the product, not someone who set it up. Applying to non-Windows devices apparently is harder, but that tends to be the case with a lot of software.
