Recent Updates Have Improved it, but still missing bulk vendor permissions update

Pros:

Approval signature flow works very well. Analytics is very powerful, but of course it comes at extra cost

Cons:

The notification emails are too frequent and can be very cryptic as one learns the system. There is not bulk permissions update, so when vendor has a new person come on board, that person has to be manually added one-by-one to every Engineering Change Order they need to view.

Pros:

Everything is linked and in one place. From supply chain, to product, to quality, to engineering to CM, everyone is looking at the same data!!

Cons:

File loading within modules is not consistent.

Reasons for switching to Arena PLM

It was clunky and not user friendly. It seemed to take a long time to get things entered.

I dread having to use Arena PLM.

Every interaction is a frustrating experience, having to remember what to click on this page, where a secrete setting is on another. It is the least intuitive software I've used in my 30 year career, and I've had to use clunkers like SAP. I regularly lose work because I thought I was done with a workflow but there was yet another save that seemed totally redundant. Every ECO I submit is kicked back because some tiny checkbox I didn't notice wasn't selected, some files I entered defaulted to the wrong settings, some input I made wasn't saved because the UI requires to much interaction for each feature.

Pros:

Arena PLM has a lot of functionality, so much we don't really use more than half the features.

Cons:

The UI is very inconsistent, with every place requiring different interactions, boxes checked to proceded, etc. The UI also does not scale so you need to scroll your browser on nearly every page to find the "save" or other button way off in the corner off the page.

ARENA PLM PARTNERSHIP AND TEAMWORK

For the past 17 or so years, ARENA has been a key supplier and partner to our organisation. It permitted us to integrate many product lines from purchased business units, very efficiently and within tight time constraints.

That it is cloud based and that there are regular updates that address user inputs.

Cons:

Some of the search tools are not as intuitive as other applications and create some user frustrations.

Great PLM tool could be improved as a MES

I like using arena for the fact everything is in one place but I would prefer to have more advancements

We have projects, non conformances and BOM in one software

Cons:

It doesn't allow to analyze data and create control charts. Capability could be expanded to be used on production floor to track times for a work order

Had a good overall experience right from the day started using Arena. PLM process is created in such a way that helps to maintain the revision history and its easy access to various revisions with a structured process.

Pros:

Easy to understand and to maintain the PLM data. Document management Process is structured for adding/modifying any information. Once the item is released it is secured, as it gets locked unless there is another request created for the modification

Cons:

As of my usage, process is structured and managing the document revision is good. So, I do not have any cons as per my usage.

Arena is great!

My overall experience with Arena is very good. Overall very solid. The server is always up and running. Very rare is it down.

Pros:

Arena is easy to navigate and very simple to use. I had the basic training on it and was able to be on my maneuver on my own since joining.

Cons:

The red line could improve. It should group together and only show the red line. Right now it displays the entire BOM and have to comb through it.

Arena, a reliable eQMS

Arena PLM did a great job onboarding our team onto the eQMS system. It was extremely helpful to attend the training session and have a Arena Manager to help calibrate our platform to our needs.

I like the ease of access and the aesthetics of the website. Arena is one of the few platforms that make a very user friendly interface. I was new to QMS and Arena made the process simple and easy for me to understand & organize,

Cons:

I think the learning curve is definitely steep, but once you become acquainted with the system it is easy to use.

Arena is growing on me!

I have only been using Arena for about 6 months now and at first i did not like it all. However, in the short time that I have been a user there has already been a few updates for further improvement. I really love how involved they are with understanding their customer needs and putting customer service first.

I like that arena has an account manager that for your company that is always available to answer your questions or point you in the right direction. I love how their website has helpful Q&As and videos so when it is a smaller question, you can solve it on your own.

Cons:

My least favorite thing about Arena is the training world. It is lacking be able to send retraining to individuals and have other unique features.
