Annum has been a backbone of our content and campaign strategy at a B2B organization. We've had the opportunity to onboard multiple teams and have several users that are in this tool every day adding activities and strategic plans. It serves as a tool for those doing tactical work as well as for our c-suite executives to see what is going on with our channels. There isn't another tool on the market that tops it and does what you need. We like how it's pre-built for marketers (with channels, campaigns, tactics), easy to use, color coordinated, and customizable. The several views help our multiple stakeholders get the exact view they are looking for and help them understand our campaigns and objectives. It's been essential to our marketing success!
Cons:
There really isn't anything that we don't like about it. The team at Annum has been amazing to quickly answer any question we have, train our large team, and also take into account any feedback we've provided to make the experience even better. We're seeing new features come out fast and they've been great additions to the experience.

Reasons for choosing Annum

There truly aren't any other marketing planning calendar tools on the market. Your project management tool is different, this is truly a planning tool that helps with detailing what's happening when to help with making strategic decisions. This and your project management tool can talk to each other, but this is separate and a need in the market.

Reasons for switching to Annum

Smartsheets or other calendar tools requires you to build the calendar, drop downs, etc from scratch. This can take a lot of time to get right (took us about a year). But with Annum, the drop downs, organization, etc. is already done for you. Implementation is seamless and we were able to get a calendar view of activities up and running within days of implementation.

Annum has helped our team manage our content workflow and increased our efficiency! We primarily use the tool for channel planning and I particularly appreciate the features that allow the team to sort and adjust the view. I cannot recommend Annum enough - and bonus, the smart team behind this tool provides top notch customer support with impressively short response times.
Cons:
The are a couple of features that would greatly help with our content planning - namely a 'parking lot' option for ideation - but it sounds like this is coming soon and we are thrilled.

Annum provided the backbone to our newly-created marketing infrastructure, giving us a single source of truth for our efforts and ensuring we were being intentional about our channel usage and giving the correct weight to our editorial pillars. It also aided in creating alignment and transparency in our organization .
Cons:
We are a small organization without access to some of the other tools - such as project management software - that would have made Annum even more useful to us. We are still using spreadsheets to manage content development! Feels like Annum can be much more powerful for larger organizations.

Annum allows various teams in Marketing, digital, communications, internal relations and social to quickly see what everyone is working on, how things can be leveraged across channels and platforms, and what goals are being met by each element of the integrated Marketing plan.
Cons:
Still getting the teams to fully explore what others are doing - not just their part on it. It is not an Annum issue, but culturally it is hard to break silos
