About NovoClinical

NovoClinical is a completely secure, cloud-based system that can be implemented quickly. Reports and templates can be customized with features and fields specific to each practice and/or provider.

NovoClinical offers insurance eligibility in seconds, comprehensive demographic input, medical history, medication history and more which populates automatically to the providers’ reports for efficiency of treatment.

A Meaningful Use 2015 certified system, users can type, or use the built-in dictation for reporting. The patient portal allows patients to request appointments, review reports, communicate securely, pay their bill online and so much more.

In today’s electronic world, patients can receive text reminders, messages, voice calls or telemedicine calls directly from the system. Faxing is paperless and built in eliminating fax machines and cumbersome processes. Labs and other tests are ordered and results returned electronically, dated and mapped to the patient chart.

Images can be uploaded or captured, annotated directly into the patient chart.

Pros:

The availability to customize some things in Novoclinical while still having a "product standard" is what great about the program. Potential is very important in software usage, in my opinion.

Cons:

I find lots of things that I'm not sure we are able to use within the software, or if they can be added and sometimes they're too simple (like a mass email) to not understand why they cannot do it.

The seamless integration between the EMR, patient communication, and billing processes significantly enhanced efficiency and reduced administrative burden. It enabled a more organized and timely approach to documentation, follow-ups, and revenue cycle management, all within a single, intuitive platform.

Cons:

Honestly, there wasn’t anything I strongly disliked. Over the past eight years, I’ve worked with 13 different EMR systems, and NovoClinical stands out as the most effective and user-friendly among them. While no system is perfect and there’s always room for improvement, NovoClinical has been the most seamless and supportive platform I’ve used to date.

I chose NovoClinical over other EMR systems because of its intuitive design, seamless integration between clinical documentation, patient communication, and billing, and the level of customization it allows for clinical practice needs.

The overall workflow is wonderful. It's incredibly easy and intuitive to use, but it's the customer service that really makes Novo stand out.

Not really. They are so responsive to suggestions that everything I have wanted changed has already been addressed.

Ease of implementation. Rapid customer service response to trouble shoot any problems we encounter. Ability to customize the software.

Cons:

Sending to billing has multiple steps & sometimes the codes do not always translate to billing unless you check each & everyone of them.

Pros:

We have been looking for a new EMR for some time. When we saw Novo and there willing to work with our unique needs, we decided to go with them. One of the main reason why we left our old EMR is due to their lack of communication. The communication that we have with Abhrodip Paul exceeded our expectations. Between long and countless meetings and detailed emails, his dedication to making this work really helped us get started with the program.

Cons:

The aesthetics can be fixed up a little. We were told that they plan on working on that for 2025.

Great Features & Technical Support

The technical support team is very reliable. Unlike with other companies, it's refreshing that someone picks up when you call and addresses your issue right away. It may be because it's a small company, nevertheless their customer service and support are very much appreciated.

Pros:

This software has many great features such as E-prescribing, built-in e-fax, Appointment reminders, Alerts notifications, Tasks, etc... We use the task feature a lot. Gone are those days no one in the office knew what he/she was supposed to do. With this feature, anyone can create and assign a task, and we follow the assignment until it is completed.

Cons:

Currently, Novoclinical does not have a feature that efficiently captures payment refunds. Also, The Revenue Cycle Management associated with this software can be improved to be more effective.
