I am the Practice Manager for Heart & Vascular Clinic. We are based in Newark, Delaware and we recently opened an office in Middletown, Delaware. Our two physicians were using two separate systems, an EMR and a Practice Management System. We did not evaluate any systems other than WRS because after a few meetings with WRS we were convinced. WRS was very helpful training us to use the system. WRS customer service is great. When we had questions, they answered them very promptly. We also have a representative and when we email her she replies instantly. WRS Cardiology EMR and Practice Management System increases our physicians’ efficiency and workflow because we have various templates for the medication notes, cardiology notes, as well as the procedure notes. The ability to customize WRS templates increases our staff’s efficiency. For example, the technician enters her information when we perform an echocardiogram. The clinic staff performs Coumadin checks in the clinic, and they can enter the information their way. The templates can be customized to meet everyone’s needs. Our patients are using WRS Patient Portal and reporting that it is user friendly. They enter all of their information, including their social and family history and their medications. Our privacy forms are available on the Patient Portal too. By giving patients access to the patient portal, our staff is free to spend more time with patients at the clinic. WRS Appointment Reminders are advantageous to us and to patients. Patients give us their email and we send them a reminder. By pressing a button, they can easily confirm their appointment or let us know that they can’t make it. Finally, now that we have another location, having a cloud EMR allows us to look at a patient’s record simultaneously from the two locations, so that we can talk about everything concerning the patient.

I opened my solo cardiology practice in 2003. WRS offered a lot of value for the most reasonable price. The value includes being able to customize the EMR and the ease with which you can chart. I perform a lot of hospital procedures in the afternoon, so being able to finish seeing patients in the clinic in the morning is important. WRS templates help me increase my efficiency. With WRS, I finish my work at my clinic at 1:30, two hours earlier than I did before. Because WRS is web-based and not server-based, I am able to store the stress tests, ultrasounds and EKGs on WRS and I can access these reports whenever I need them. It doesn’t matter where I am. I can even be out of the country. Having a web-based EMR is very convenient. When I am doing hospital procedures, the hospital nurses can access my clinic records and the patients I’ve scheduled. If I’m performing a heart catherization I can get into WRS and see what the stress test showed. This is a huge time saving advantage and it helps to enhance patient care. WRS e-prescribing capability is another perk. I didn’t know that it was going to be so easy. It takes a lot longer to write prescriptions than to e-prescribe. There’s also a risk for medication errors with paper scripts as a result of poor penmanship. Finally, WRS has certifications that are trustworthy. Last year I received Meaningful Use Incentive money. My biller uses WRS Services and Billing module. WRS billing staff provides excellent customer service.
