I4A has added several new features and modules that have resulted in meaningful cost savings while improving the overall user experience and operational efficiency. One notable example is the Submissions Module, which can be used to manage awards, scholarships, abstracts, and similar programs.
Cons:
Nothing of significance was identified. No critical issues were encountered. The I4A team has consistently been receptive to inquiries and new ideas, and several suggestions shared over time have been successfully implemented.

Great experience with i4a

After using i4a for many years, we switched to another provider but decided to return about 18 months ago—and we're glad we did. The improvements they've made during our time away have been remarkable. The new features clearly reflect thoughtful development and thorough testing, rather than rushed implementations. You can tell the team has put real intention behind each update, making the platform more intuitive and powerful. The transition back to i4a was seamless thanks to their excellent support team. They were incredibly helpful throughout the setup process, making what could have been a complex migration feel manageable. What really stands out is their commitment to customer support: their tutorial system provides genuine, practical answers when you need them, and their ticket system consistently delivers responses within the same day. It's rare to find this level of responsiveness in the software industry.

The system is refreshingly reliable—it does exactly what it's supposed to do without any unexpected issues. It's straightforward to use and set up, which is exactly what you need in an association management system. New feature releases are clearly well-tested before they go live, so there are no hiccups or disruptions to our workflow. When questions do arise, the i4a staff is easy to reach and genuinely collaborative in helping us problem-solve and brainstorm solutions.
Cons:
They've added a lot to the email marketing capabilities but it still takes many hours for an email to be sent to all of our contacts. It's easy enough to use a separate system though.

Reasons for switching to i4a AMS

Fonteva was persistently unreliable, with frequent breakdowns that disrupted our daily operations. New features were consistently rolled out in what felt like a rushed, half-tested state, often creating more problems than they solved. The lack of quality control was apparent and costly for our organization.

- Limited functionality and capabilities. Unattractive design for admin users. - Learning how to use it is tedious, even to those experienced in CMS. - Content manager/theme manager is very fickle. - Website design is not great for an average user. Must know a fair amount of web design to edit website.

The onboarding training/support; ease of transition from the previous database; the applicability of the system to our needs.
Cons:
Forms created using the Form Builder do not auto populate custom data fields. The calendar builder front end does not display multi-day events across several days with one marker.

Salesforce integration did not work with our website plus organization members could not access their records directly.

A relief for part-time members running a nonprofit

We used to have a web designer handle all of our website issues, which cost a lot and was not always timely. Also, our annual membership dues and conference registration was all done by hand or had awkward payment interface. i4a is substantially better.

Very comprehensive and professional. Customer support is exceptionally robust and responsive. Also, great value for the money.
Cons:
It's so comprehensive that you forget all the process steps to make forms and websites work as you intended. Thankfully the customer support is outstanding. There is a lot more I can leverage from this product, but it will take some time.

Comprehensive and integrated. The setup support for i4a was critical.

Reasons for switching to i4a AMS

WordPress required an outside consultant and had clunky payment interface, and control of the website was static and did not change frequently enough.

Easy to use and great service when you run into any problems. The wiki is key to finding information that you need.
Cons:
Sometimes hard to navigate, even with the wiki, but that's ok because support is very responsive. They are available via the web or by phone.

We had a very low feature subscription and it wasn't meeting our needs.

As an association executive with 25 years of experience with various software packages, i4a offers everything I wanted and more! Should have switched years ago.
Cons:
The one request I have made is to have job postings visible without logging in. That is truly it. Everything else is simply outstanding.

My experiences with i4a have been nothing but positive. Knowing that help is only a support ticket away is reassuring. There is someone there to help with anything you require help with!

As an i4a user for over 10 years, the Customer Support is phenominal. As with anything new, once you use the system for a short time it becomes intuitive. Membership Management is simple to once you get the hang of it and if needed, the i4a staff is always there to assist! It is very easy for Member users to manage their own contact informaiton, make payments, etc. They regularly make updates to the system that simplify things.
Cons:
The initial setup was intensive and difficult but someone from i4a was there to assist when needed. Once the various systems were operational they have run smoothly. Occasionally there is a small glitch, which I have to explain in a support ticket, but gets fixed readily.

I inherited the website and membership management from my predecessor and had no prior experience with the company or its tools. The customer service and one-on-one Zooms led me through MANY concerns and learning processes. Even when I forgot how to do something that had already been addressed, they led me through it again with absolute professionalism. Beyond this, they have been responsive to changing demands, making helpful improvements and design changes that help manage the tool. I have been very pleased with i4a AMS.

Customer Service is always my top priority, and i4a has been great. I am no tech expert, so website development and maintenance sometimes challenge me. Whenever I had a question, I found support and one-on-one assistance that solved the problem. Laura is patient and knowledgeable, whether the concern is related to membership management, payment processing, or webpage design. I heartily recommend this company.
Cons:
I think the credit card and other recurring fees could be detailed. Perhaps I am not aware of where the details are found, but when they do the auto deduction from our bank, there is no accompanying description other than a brief code.

I've been using i4a for many years and often wish other platforms were as easy to use. I appreciate how much control I have over the webpage content, particularly because I can play around with the HTML. Also, the i4a staff is always super responsive and helpful.

i4a is a great, easy-to-use CMS for associations. You get a lot of product for the money. The customer service is always fabulous - everyone is super helpful, responsive, and nice.
Cons:
I don't use the email marketing portion because it's pretty limited. I would love to see it integrate with other platforms more easily.
