SignUp Makes Life Easy for Organizers and Users

All of my interactions with SignUp personnel have been very positive. It's a wonderful product with staff members who have extensive knowledge about this software.

Pros:

Well-written directions and great search function help me find the topic I need. The SignUp customer service is outstanding! They usually resolve my issues within just a few hours, even on a weekend. The user interface is very user-friendly.

Cons:

I do not have any issues at all with SignUp. I just wish I had found them sooner. I was a previous user of SignUpGenius and my users really struggled with it. SignUp is so easy for everyone to use.

Reasons for switching to SignUp.com

It wasn't as easy to use as an administrator and users found it difficult. It was also more expensive. It was not easy to get customer assistance.

SignUp is exactly what I needed.

I use SignUp for my students to sign up for tutoring sessions throughout the summer. In the past I would have to deal with each student (or their parent) letting them know what dates/times I had available. With SignUp I can simply set up the days & times I am available and they can sign up on a first come, first serve basis. It makes scheduling so much easier.

Pros:

I especially like the fact that my students &/or their parents can sign up for a tutoring spot and I know that there will be no overlapping of dates & times. Additionally, I appreciate the reminder emails that are sent out to my students a few days prior to their appointment, as well as my weekly overview. Whenever I have had a question or problem with setting up my SignUp I get a very quick response, usually the same day.

Cons:

Primarily, I have no least liked features. Because I only use SignUp for the summer, it takes me a little while to refamiliarize myself with the mechanics of setting up a new SignUp.

Another Software to Get People to Sign Up for stuff

Used Sign Up for alot of stuff until I discovered Sign Up Genius. Sign Up doesn't have the bells and whistles, including collecting payment, like Sign Up Genius does. Sign Up would be great for the most simplistic of sign up lists; nothing to big or with too many selections/options to pick from. Wish the website site had more of a design. It's rather blank looking with just words,, not very appealing. But the functionality ultimately does what it says it will do (and for FREE) which is good all around.

It doesn't have many special features and setting up repeating items is not as simple as it could be

Hi Kim - Thanks for being a leader at your school and for taking the time to share your feedback, For clarification, SignUp does allow you to collect funds on the site, and we know how important budgets are so we only pass on the processing fee and don't charge fees ourselves (unlike SignUp Genius charges.). I'm sorry we didn't make it more obvious, but we absolutely do offer a near-instant way to schedule a series of appointment spots - like for parent-teacher conferences, and to set up repeating schedules. Please click Help at the top of the site to learn how or to contact our support team. Since most parents (80%+) will be signing up on smartphones, our screens are designed and tested for clarity and user success. I hope you'll give us a try again in the future.

Love SignUp.com

It's easy to setup and use, and if you're willing to have a few ads on the pages and emails, it's free. If you have a budget, the cost for ad-free is very reasonable.

We have used SignUp (free version) for years to organize volunteer shifts for our CSA pickup site. We appreciate the ease of use and that the ads are not too obtrusive.

Cons:

Really didn't have any problems or anything negative to say. It's just an easy to use way to organize volunteers.

Best Online Signup Tool We Have Used

We really love this online sign-up tool! It is flexible and very quick and easy to use. We did not have to spend a lot of time setting up a new online sign-up. Best of all, users do not have to create an account in order to sign up.

It is easy to learn and use, very user friendly, and does not require folks to create an account in order to sign up for an event. It is also very flexible for different types of sign-ups.

Cons:

The graphic and design choices are a little limited, but this was a VERY minor issue for us. The only other thing is not being able to attach a document to the sign-up, but this also was a very minor issue for us.

Pros:

Signup.com is a time efficient way to organize volunteers for events and both short term and long term programs. The system simplified how we make contact with people through email and text messaging. Invitations to participate and reminders to those who have signed up are automatic. It is also a secure system that provides privacy to my contacts and does not share their information with outsiders. We have used Signup for 5 years at my not-for-profit organization and we upgrade to ad free for 3 months during our busy summer season. I definitely recommend investing in the upgrade! Edits are easy to make and all of the descriptions to our spots can be modified as needed. Generating printable lists and reports to use at our volunteer events are ready in a click of a button. When I forget what steps to take to find what I'm looking for, or have a question, the program has complete and simple instructions that are easy to follow. We also get monthly, in advance reminders of the billing so that makes it easy to add or remove upgrades when we need to.

Cons:

I am of the generation that grew up prior to computer technology so for me there is no such thing as "intuitive". I sometimes just click on things until I find the menu for the report and information I am looking for. Many of our volunteers are also older/retired people from this by-gone era and they need some hand holding to use the online sign up.

Highly recommend sign up for volunteer organization

I've used sign up for a number of events now. It's super easy for me and I have heard from volunteers that they love it.

Pros:

This app is really easy to use and requires no login for people signing up. The reminders are automatically sent to volunteers - and you can manually add in individuals if needed.

Cons:

The free version has some standard reports - the font is rather small - but there's also an excel export where you can create whatever table you need.
