Efficiency in Mail Merging Online

MailMeteor is a super convenient and intuitive add-on that stand out within the crowded Google Sheets add-on market, with their privacy handling done just as well, since they didn't even need to get into my inbox to implement their features.

What I liked the most about MailMeteor was the best-of-class convenience it brought to my work stream; delivering streamlined bulk emails that have been at the heart of almost every email marketing project my company has undertaken for two years now.

Cons:

The tracking reports they offer for the bulk emails we send out using MailMeteor could use a bit more detail; otherwise, our user experience has been great so far.

Really powerful and easy to use

Overall, I'd recommend Mailmeteor to anyone who needs to send hundreds of personalized emails at once. I have observed much better opening rates on my email campaigns than ever before!

Pros:

Mailmeteor has become a must-have tool in our team. It makes your recipients feel unique when compared to an email blast from a Mailchimp style platform. Contrary to other Gmail mail merge add-ons, Mailmeteor does not require permissions to your email data to run. Plus, you the free sending quota is quite generous.

Cons:

There are lots of other emailing tools that have more features than Mailmeteor, but for day to day use it's a perfect tool.

Reasons for choosing Mailmeteor

We did not need a heavy and costly marketing platform. We just needed a simple yet powerful tool to send personalized emails with Gmail.

Reasons for switching to Mailmeteor

YAMM was limited to 50 emails a day contrary to 100 for Mailmeteor. Also YAMM requests too much permissions (read, modify, delete your emails)

Doesnt work as advertised and support is terrible unless you want a refund

Terrible support, we bought the premier business plan and you cannot reach a soul to get any help. If you ask for a refund they give your money back right away-- I would say this is their business model, no resource to help customers, so just refund if customer cannot get it to work as advertised. All in all- a total waste of time which is worth more than the 49 euros to us.

The interface makes sense and makes you feel like you finally found a easy tool. Its not true sadly

Cons:

Mail merge doesnt work in the dashboard campaigns. We got it to work using the google sheets direct chrome extension but for 49 euros a month it is a terrible product. You can use other tools in sheets mail merge for 13 euros.

Yesware merge fields were also problematic.

What I liked most about Mailmeteor is how easy it is to use and its seamless integration with Google Sheets. It allows you to personalize each email quickly and efficiently, and it’s great that emails are less likely to land in the spam folder.

Cons:

The main downside is the limitation of the free version. The sending quota is quite low, so if you need to send emails frequently or to large lists, you'll need to upgrade to a paid plan.

My most used tool

I've been using it for the past 4 years now and every single year, when I need to send over 1000 emails with personalised data I literally am thrilled togo back to mail meteo

Great, easy-to-use, reliable and easy to import rich HTML directly into the editor

Does exactly what it claims to do, and does it clearly and intuitively. We use it for all our important emails to clients - unlike emails from mail services like Mailchimp, it doesn't end up in a marketing or junk folder (unless your email does anyway, uin which case it's not Mailmeteor's fault!). We all use it on our team.

It would be great if we could add emojis. I also sent out an email campaign and forgot to attach the document. This was not caught, which might be a Gmail issue but it would be amazing if Mailmeteor had the capacity to catch that as well.

Perhaps the best Gmail Extension ever created

Mailmeteor delivers the best, most refined experience of any Gmail extension I have used to date, and that is saying a lot.

Pros:

I can not understate the beauty and utility of the UI created for Mailmeteor. It is by far the most elegant solution for quickly sending out emails to a targeted list. The configuration options include HTML support for emails and one can easily filter the recipient list for targeting. I do use other email platforms that are easily recognizable for certain larger tasks, but this is the perfect platform when needing to send out 2,000 or less emails per day.

Cons:

Mailmeteor can not send out to more than 2,000 recipients per day, but understand this is a limitation of gmail for Google Workspace accounts. Mailmeteor does understand this limitation and can automatically split up an email campaign that is over this limited. As mentioned by someone else, while the reporting can always be made more exhaustive, I understand that is not the target use case of this extension and it is meant to keep things focused on key metrics only. My one wishlist item at this time is the ability to search templates by keyword as I do have many templates now and it would be convenient to have a search function to find the proper email template.

Mailmeteor Holds my Hand and Guides me

Thanks guys, because publipostage with Word and Excel doesn't connect correctly to Outlook and I don't know why. With your extension, everything is clearcut.

I like how it holds my hand and guides me etc. Mailmeteor is a blessing in a business world dominated by Microsoft.

Cons:

I wish I could add a c.c. email or a c.c.i. email. When composing my text, I wish I could scroll down to the bottom to see the ending salutation one last time before sending.
