Campus Recreation Make Easy

After starting with the club sports module and recently adding the employee scheduling and intramural modules, we've been thrilled with the ease of use and the support from DSE. We're looking forward to all the reports available to us as well as the feedback from students which has been positive thus far.

The customer support team is very responsive and always willing to assist and the modules are super easy to navigate for both the administrators and the users. They are always making updates and taking clients recommendations and feedback into account. DSE made our lives at Saint Joseph's University Campus Recreation a lot easier.

DSE Rec with Elizabethtown College

Working with DSE has been a game-changer for our Campus Recreation and Well-Being Department. Their programs and modules helped streamline our operations and make us more efficient. From the initial consultation to implementation and ongoing support, the team at DSE has been extremely responsive and accommodating. Their modules are remarkably user-friendly and straightforward on the backend, which makes training student staff that are continually rotating extremely helpful. Our team has been using DSE Rec for the past year, and it has transformed the way we manage our recreation center. The software is incredibly intuitive and user-friendly, making scheduling, member registration, and facility reporting a breeze. We made the software switch mid-semester with intention of a slow roll out and transition, but staff (full time, part time and students) were able to navigate the system quickly allowing us to integrate rapidly.

Cons:

All "cons" we've had with the software the developer has addressed rapidly.

The previous software was not able to meet the needs of our facility management and was unable to set automatic monthly billing. Customer support was impossible to connect with.

Close to being a one stop shop for recreation use. Easy to navigate and cut our staff training time and costs way down. Great customer service and desire to receive feedback- potential for some great upcoming developments.

Cons:

We stayed with IMLeagues for the meantime- awaiting future development within the DSE IM module. Excited to see what they develop.

It's a powerful membership software tool that works really well in a higher ed setting. It's very adaptable to your needs, so you have the options of only paying for the portions of the software you really need. Improvements continue to be made, and they are always willing to hear the suggestions and needs that we have.

Cons:

There have been some modules that don't quite fit our needs, but support has always been very helpful in finding a solution.

I have used several large rec and fitness management softwares like ActiveNet, DataTrak, and MindBody to try to run fitness and recreation centers. DSE Rec is easily the best I have used due to its robust module breakdown; it's simplistic, modern way of managing them; and their staff's responsiveness and ability to assist. DSE stands for "Do Sports Easy", and I can tell you that is factually true with its club and intramural sport modules. Adding the club sport module to our management of our 43 club teams is a game changer. It takes a fragmented approach to club sport management and centralizes it for everyone from the administrators to those on the club teams. DSE Rec also offers modules for most facility and programming needs in Recreation. We use it for access control, membership sales, equipment check out, equipment rentals, facility scheduling, intramural sports, club sports, personal training, and group fitness services. I have worked in fitness and recreation for 20 years now, and this is the first software to allow unlimited group fitness passes AND punch passes to coexist in the same system with ease! I cannot recommend it enough to other recreation and fitness professionals. Ultimately, the modules work very well for what we need, and the platform is very modern and simple to use.

Cons:

All software has limitations because it's built a very specific way. However, we have been nothing but thrilled with how well it meets our needs.

The module options were more robust, and the club sport module was far more powerful.

ActiveNet was so complicate and antiquated. It was a powerful software, but you needed a dedicated staff member to manage it. The interface was incredibly old and hard to navigate. ActiveNet did not provide regular customer support. You had to pay for it whenever you needed it! It was so bad. DSE Rec offered the solutions needed while having a very modern user interface, and it offered support built into the annual pricing.

Excellent Recreation Management Tool

All in one recreation management software. It's a one stop shop for our patrons without the need to have multiple accounts on multiple applications for all of our programs and services. Very intuitive and easy to use.

Pros:

Facility Scheduling ties into other modules so double booking spaces has been cut down. Employee scheduling module is reasonably priced and meets our university's IT security standards. DSE Staff are great to work with and take suggestions for improvement. Their bread and butter is sport club management module which is robust and excellent.

Cons:

While excellent product for Admin staff, they are steadily improving customer experience but more is still needed. Still waiting to be able to purchase two items in a single transaction. Hoping a kids camp module will be available in 2026. Reports are good, but access to specific data sometimes requires DSE to pull data that isn't pre-populated for needed university reports. Would love to have a report that produces everything a single user has done across multiple modules without having to manipulate multiple reports or files.

DSE is the premiere Club Sports management system. From club travel management to managing club budgets, no system rivals what DSE has to offer. DSE allows our office and officers to: Manage Club Rosters (officers, member engagement, etc.) Manage Club Travel (event location, members, drivers, overnight stays, event reporting, etc.) Mange Club Budgets (multiple budgets and line items that are easily manageable by student staff, budget is visible by any officer at any time) Award Club Compliance Points (allows us to allocate funds appropriately based on the success and involvement of the club Reporting (our office can track and run reports for all club events and engagements)

Cons:

Every feature that we use with DSE is great. If there is an issue, they've worked with us to meet our needs. No issues or complaints at this time.

Do Sports Easy has simplified our club sports roster collection system immensely. DSE's user interface is clean and easy for multiple admins and departments to use. It is also easy to use for student-athletes and is a great efficiency tool for our program. [sensitive content hidden], and their team are great to work with and very responsive.

Cons:

We had an issue with the event center embedding into our department website, however, [sensitive content hidden] and his team were already working on a solution to the issue before we noticed and brought it to their attention.

DSE shows promise of building a cutting edge program software that enables the user to work efficiently and effectively. The system is intuitive and easy to navigate. I look forward to seeing additional features that are added or updated to make the user experience even more smooth than it already is. Between building management, staff scheduling, and club sport facilitation, DSE has provided us a software that helps us manage our day to day functions and keep most task in one place instead of having to use multiple software to manage it all. It's nice to have a one stop shop to run multiple areas of our recreation department.

Cons:

The view that we get as schedule creators is awesome. I can see everything at a glance and it's beautiful. The student side however, is pretty rough for them to see who is on shifts with them. I would love it if they gave students access to a view only version of the schedule that we see.
