About Remotty

Remotty is a Japanese-language remote office solution designed to empower telework communication and provide visibility for employees and teams. The platform provides automatic status updates, voice and video conferencing functionality, and integrations with a variety of third-party productivity software such as iCalendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, Webex, Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and more.

Remotty automatically takes photos users through their webcam every 2 minutes and can optionally share this with colleagues, providing a real-time indicator of whether the user is available for calls or attending a video conference. Users are also able to manually update their status to share information on what they are working on or whether they are away from their desk. One-click video conferencing in supported, in addition toone-on-one and group text chat, with optional message threads for group chats.

Pros:

連絡事項の共有やディスカッションは、他のツールでも問題なく行えますが、「オフィス」として重要な役割である、「誰かと一緒に働く空間」を実現できるのは、Remottyならではです。カメラ機能により、同僚に今相談をしてもよいかどうか、メッセージをやり取りしなくても自然と判断できます。一緒に働く仲間の現状を把握して業務を行うことは、リアルのオフィスにいると意識せず行っていることですが、在宅勤務など離れたところから一緒に仕事をするときには意識をしないとなかなかできないことです。また、雑談（業務に関することから、日常のささいなことまで）を気軽に行えるようなトークルームがあるので、孤独さを感じず、仲間と一緒に働いている実感が持てます。

Cons:

基本的な機能においては特に問題ありません。スレッドを別の掲示板へ移動できるようになると、より利便性が向上すると思います。
