I love the Flying Donut!

First off, the DEV Team is amazing I have asked for API support and within a couple hours features were live that I requested. Super cool!!!! Backlogs and sprints are where it is at for our team and FLYING donut and their API make it super easy to track issues and integrate.

Cons:

It can't move cards from backlog to sprint contest in free plan.

Using Flying Donut has been integral for keeping focus on the right things, enabling our growing team to ship features faster. In a nutshell: - The simple and intuitive interface allows us to always be on top of our work, at a glance. - It's comprehensive, fast and all-encompassing. Flying Donut allows our dispersed team collaborate with maximum efficiency. The powerful integrations allow us to use it as a single point of reference for navigating our code and build on existing work, when developing new features - It offers straight forward Kanban planning and drag & drop UI, which allows us to set priorities in seconds - I love the clarity Flying Donut brings to our team's work. We are build a fast growing platform and continuously onboard new team members, working in multiple locations; using Flying Donut has been key getting them up to speed and bring clarity and efficiency to our sprint planning and daily work.

Cons:

We found it super easy to integrate with our existing tools and the chat support has been instant and exceptional. I find it hard to find a negative in our experience using Flying Donut, despite using it practically all day, every day.

Flying Donut is super-fast & user friendly PM tool which save time and money. Further more the user interface too attractive and simply create task,edit,delete,assign. Happy to working with FD.

Cons:

Flying Donut software tool is more focused with PM, TM & Kanban. Better to focus about software developing and bug tracking as an additional. With this prevailing situation, better to have mobile app to manage projects.

We made the decision early on to focus on Scrum / agile / Kanban although we understand that this may not be the preferred workflow for some teams. Regarding software development teams, we provide integration with all major cloud repository providers, as well as commit message parsing with card updates. As this is a vast field, on which aspect of software development would you like to see more focus going forward? Feel free to send us your suggestions directly. Regarding the availability of native mobile apps, this is a commonly requested feature which we will be tackling in the future. In the meantime users can access Flying Donut through their mobile device browsers where we provide a responsive UI that adapts according to the device.

A Great Interface

Awesome! I'm using it both in a class I'm teaching and to manage the contents FOR the class I'm teaching. I'm also using it for game development and novel-writing! It is as flexible as it should be for small to mid-size projects and I hope to test it on larger scale projects in the near future.

Pros:

I love the interface. It's simple and clean. It allows you to get started quickly - especially for simple, straightforward projects. You can add a lot of specifics, but you don't have to in order to get started - that truly embodies the spirit of Agile. The Scrumban boards are great, the Backlog Buckets are simple to create and get started adding cards to them.

Cons:

There are a few things about the way you do Sprint Management (i.e., moving cards to and from the backlog into the Sprint Kanban or Scrumban Boards) that could be improved. For a start, you have to go into the Sprints section, up to a 3 elipses button on the top corner and click on "Sprint Planning" to get to the interface ... it's a bit too tucked away for my liking as moving cards back and forth from the backlog is an important part of planning and sprint review. Also, it would be nice to have planned and actual points or time to help you a little more with review.

Reasons for switching to Flying Donut

I found this interface to be much simpler to get started and to start my students (who are new to Agile and Scrum).

Well thought task/issue manager plus documentation manager

We are using Flying Donut both as an issue/task manager and a documentation manager. We keep all our information in a single place, easily accessible and related to tasks, which improves our processes a lot.

We find the lanes very easy to use. The UI in general is quite intuitive, it allows us to quickly add/edit/remove items and their related info.

Cons:

It would be nice if it had a dedicated native mobile app in Android and iOS. We do use it in mobile environments already because it has a well-thought responsive design, we mention this as an enhancement that would be nice.
