Pros:

The fixed some of the previous issues that were very annoying and were making morw difficult daily tasks

Cons:

Still needs to improve UI response. The UI would need an update also soon, starting to look out of date.

You won't regret Karbon

I couldn't be happier. The program is completely worth the cost, the functionality is amazing and this is before I'm even an expert at the program, I love the integrations and am more excited about it as new features are added. Ie. the updated integration with OneDrive.

The integration! It can't be beat. It streamlines so many processes and adds a lot of transparency in client accounts and work.

Cons:

That the list view of work doesn't allow me to set a default view and that it always shows completed work that i have to filter out. And that I can't customize invoicing more to make all work one line versus job by job.

Karbon had one major outlying function which is the ability to do workflow management in advance of work to better manage and plan for bottlenecks and staffing needs

Excel was not able to keep up with the workflow I was beginning to see and created additional administrative time.

Essential for project and communication management

I have been using Karbon for years, and I will not be switching to an alternative platform. Karbon continues to evolve its software to better serve its customers, and its customer service is excellent -- you are always communicating with a real person within a reasonable amount of time.

Karbon allows me to keep my time tracking, emails, and project management all in one place, and creates greater transparency within my firm. It is an essential tool in running my business!

Cons:

It can at times be more difficult to track down an email in Karbon than it is to find it in my Google inbox.

Pros:

The ongoing customer service if phenomenal. There are many platforms out there, but few have such great customer service. Even after years of using this platform I know that help is simply a phone call or email away.

Cons:

There is no document management feature. When weighting out options we were bummed that Karbon does not include a way to get KB signatures or document management.

Reasons for switching to Karbon

Karbon is constantly upgrading their systems and bringing innovation and AI. For a more reasonable price I am getting a better product

Setting up templates, workflows, and automations can be time-consuming and requires precision. If not done carefully, it can lead to inefficiencies or missed deadlines.

Reliable and efficient workflow tool for remote bookkeeping teams

Overall, Karbon has been a huge help in improving our workflow and accountability. It gives our whole team visibility on deadlines, communication, and progress in real time. It’s reliable, secure, and a great fit for managing bookkeeping and bookkeeping teams remotely. It's also a great investment and value for money. The benefits far outweigh the small limitations, and it’s now a key part of how we work every day.

Pros:

Karbon has completely changed how we manage our workflow and client communication. The shared inbox and email-to-task feature make collaboration much easier across the team. Task management is clear and structured, with timelines, budgets, and responsibilities all visible in one place. It also integrates well with tools like Xero and offers strong security and user access controls. Their customer support team is always responsive and provides practical help when needed.

Cons:

Some pages take a few seconds to load when switching between clients or work items, especially when many tasks are open. The reporting feature could also be more flexible, allowing custom views and filters without exporting data. Email notifications can get overwhelming if not managed carefully, but it’s easy to adjust the settings once you get used to them.

Overall I'm very happy and would highly recommend it to firms that are big enough to use it and get their money's worth. It will change your workflow management if used and set up the right way.

Pros:

I like the fact that is just makes my work life much easier in terms of efficiency and feeling in control. Karbon really centralises a lot of things and also just makes filing and finding information way easier. In essence it manages my workflow way better than any other software I've used

Cons:

Nothing really jumps out and comes to mind, but if I had to find something, I'd say there are small things that used to bother me, but I also got used to it or in some cases Karbon updated their software and now the issues were resolved. Thus it shows how the customer support is also great.

Automated and Workflow Management

I like the fact that it is integrated with many other software including outlook which makes it easier to just one in one system. The fact that you can communicate with internal and external people in one subject line which protect communication or sensitive information. The way it organize and automating a sequence of tasks to streamline operations and maximize organizational goals.

Its user friendly, how it helps in planning and managing tasks. It also keeps documents and information safe. The way it helps our customer to also upload documents using the link and how customer get the support through it.

Use it or lose it

Overall, my experience with Karbon has been very positive. It has transformed how I manage both email and workflow, giving me much better oversight and control. Even with a few areas for improvement, particularly around CRM features, it remains an indispensable tool in my business operations.

Pros:

I love Karbon, it’s easily the best email and workflow management system on the market. The way it brings structure to client communications and tasks makes day-to-day work far more efficient and transparent. It really helps keep my team and clients on the same page.

Cons:

The CRM functionality could be stronger. While the workflow and email tools are excellent, the client record side feels a little limited, and I still haven’t figured out how to make sure emails from contacts automatically attach to their timeline.

Karbon is value for money, all except for the email part that i have addressed above. This is because of it multifunctional uses. And talk about the intelligence, where you can print out reports on screen to see the organisational performance internally.

Pros:

I like that i can use it for task allocation on a weekly basis to determine what ill be doing in a certain week and also fill in my time sheet. In a nutshell it is multifunctional. Additionally, it sends out a verification code after a certain period of having logged in to ensure that the right user is using the email, this ensures security. There are short videos that are available for users to learn about karbon and guide them, this ensures customer support. It is effective but not efficient as explained below.

Cons:

It takes more time for emails to reflect when using Karbon than when using other platforms such as outlook. This is something Karbon needs to work on because sometimes all you need is a quick email.
