About Odessa Platform

Odessa is a web-based solution, which helps small to large businesses manage the entire lease/contract lifecycle for equipment and vehicle fleet. Features include asset management, credit processing, multiple user collaboration, data visualization, trend analysis and reporting.

The solution enables supervisors to monitor fleet drivers, set up vehicle-replacement policies, plan preventive maintenance and track fuel cards. Businesses can handle the loan origination process, control documents and manage contract discounts and debt syndications. Vendors can use self-service portals to submit applications, track the progress of transactions and receive automated notifications on updates. Additionally, customers can handle credit facilities, request location changes, sign off documents and make payments.

LeaseWave integrates with third-party customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and applications such as DocuSign, SuperTRUMP and more. Pricing is available on request and support is provided via mail, discussion forums and documentation.

Best Lease Management Software available

It is suite of 120 configurable modules fully automates the operations of leasing companies. Unlike competing lease management software solutions, it is built ground up as a singular platform on a singular database. This allows both internal and external stakeholders to work off a single source of truth across all leasing functions without the need for messy integrations across disparate systems. The UI in the latest version is great. We have been using the product for 3 years now and have been satisfied with the performance.

LeaseWave has issues

Overall, we would have been far better off programming in-house from scratch. The system is good only if your leasing business is very cookie-cutter, you do not need efficient staff processing, and do not mind paying a lot for any changes. Licensing for users is also very expensive. There are better options.

Pros:

It has a very clean looking interface. It is tightly integrated for what it does.

Cons:

It is very rigid and not flexible. It's interface, while clean, is too spread-out resulting in users having to scroll through long screens to find information or complete tasks. Users have to jump back and forth through many screens to accomplish most tasks. As a result, what should be simple tasks end up taking much longer to complete than should be necessary. Taxes did not, and despite 2 years of effort still do not, work correctly. And this is in Canada where commodity taxation is much simpler compared to the USA. The accounting templates are too inflexible. The product is expensive for the quality delivered. OTI will send out resources to assist (you cannot use in-house programmers), but, they cost a lot. Support is from Bangalore India (9 hours time difference) which makes troubleshooting challenging. The program could not calculate a correct AR Aging. The Customer Service screen details did not agree to the underlying GL. Customer statements are buried deep within the program and were incorrect. Reports of any sort are hard to find and slow to generate. It is not a one-solution as the program does not include a banking module, an accounts payable module (to produce cheques) or a complete GL that can be used for financial reporting. You will have to purchase a separate GL/AP to handle these tasks and then pay OTI to link into the program. OTI does not use standard accounting terminology. For example, "Accounts Receivable does not include taxes" in their system.
