About Spacebase

Spacebase is a cloud-based lease management solution that assists real estate and hospitality firms with expense, portfolio and capacity management. Its key features include activity tracking, citation linking, data export and automated notifications.

Administrators can use the solution to group employees into teams, add users and provide role-based permissions across multiple regions. The application’s dashboard module allows managers to track payment schedules and collect lease notes or updates from team members. Additionally, its smartsearch feature helps users access section-specific links and search leases based on parameters such as dates, contacts and clauses.

Spacebase enables supervisors to track operating expenses, measure and compile capital expenditures and conduct comparisons across various portfolios. The solution is available on a monthly subscription and support is provided via phone and email.

10/10. My Boss, the [sensitive content hidden], has a login but never really uses the tool. When a question about Real Estate comes up during a call, I can easily login to the tool, look up a location and read the Lease; I can get the answer during the conversation and share with my Boss who can bring it up in the conversation. Spacebase is intuitive, informative and offers quick and easy access to A LOT of information.

Pros:

Ease of use! I was given a login to Spacebase a couple of years ago -- as I manage Insurance for my Company. No one tought me how to use the tool -- I was able to login and find exactly what I needed.

Cons:

That I didn't have access to Spacebase sooner! As soon as I got a login to the tool, I was able to use it.

Pros:

I find it to be very user friendly and easy to navigate. The functionality is great.

Cons:

I would like to see a little more flexibility in the reporting. We are on a fiscal year of July 1 to June 30th and I would like to be able to tailor reports such as rent forecast to our fiscal year calendar.

Spacebase has been a gamechanger, especially on the accounting and reporting side

We had all of our lease accounting in excel, and we had a very tough time parsing the lease agreements and amendments before Spacebase. Now that we have Spacebase, the extraction team helps us to determine any commencement, escalation, and termination dates in a concrete and understandable way. We had a much more manual process before that left many of the dates open to interpretation and could result in wild swings in our accounting entries.

The best part about Spacebase for me is the Accounting Module. It has simplified and made our ASC 842 monthly, quarterly and annual lease accounting processes much more seamless.

Cons:

Spacebase has some limitations in terms of importing historical data and reflecting modifications from an accounting module perspective. I'd like to see Spacebase be a bit more flexible in terms of updates, historical data, and modifications for accounting and reporting.

Helpful lease management tool

Overall, Spacebase makes lease management much easier and I’d recommend it to other finance and facilities teams.

Pros:

Lease management system. Spacebase has been very useful for managing our company’s office leases. I can easily track lease terms, monitor payments, and generate consolidated reports for multiple offices. The platform centralizes all lease documentation, which saves a lot of time and reduces errors.

Cons:

It would be helpful if reporting could be slightly more customizable, but overall, it’s a reliable tool that I would recommend to other teams managing multiple leases. Such as option to show local currency for all leases vs selecting the local currency one by one.

Pros:

Customer support and ease of use using Spacebase API . Very good UI and interface . I'm using Spacebase API for past 3 years for our company data needs with respect to cost and lease term and felt very comfortable in terms of using API and the data it provides .

Cons:

not much . It is pretty good for what I need. With respect to API , I would have preferred to have backdated info API calls as well . Right now , it gives only point on time data

Spacebase offers a user-friendly interface with all the information you need neatly organized to easily navigate and explore all capabilities of the system.

Cons:

I use Spacebase as a read only user which allows me to pull reports, view individual lease details, but I don't have the ability to view leases that are in draft status.

Pros:

I love the user interface of Spacebase. It's modern and easy to use, not outdated. The ability to customize reporting is really helpful for the various users we have. Lease management has never been so easy!

Cons:

The only downside to Spacebase is that it isn't as well-known as other software vendors, so training our employees on it takes a little more time, since they're familiar with other programs. However, customer support is great and they help us tremendously.

It's a very useful lease management tool. We use it to manage our global office leases. It great to keep all our lease documentation to reference/access documents easily and track key dates.

Cons:

UI is a little busy and can take a bit to navigate until you get used to the layout to find the menus you're looking for.
