About QuickBooks Money

QuickBooks Money is a mobile payment gateway best suited for small to midsize organizations. The system comes with transaction software, a card reader plugin and a mobile application, which provide instant processing of all major credit and debit cards.

QuickBooks Money allows users to view complete transaction history through the mobile application or by logging into the website. Users have the option to re-send invoices and receipts or void charges.

Reports can be viewed real-time and can be automatically synchronized with QuickBooks. Users can also import and export sales data between QuickBooks and GoPayment.

Features of QuickBooks Money include merchant accounts from Intuit, a virtual terminal through which users can process cards from any internet-connected computer. The camera scanning feature allows users to take pictures with their smartphone cameras to capture card information.

Outstanding Rates

The rate is worth it alone. But I would appreciate a bit more user friendly interface.

Pros:

The rate Quickbooks offers is the best around. I pay the little extra to get the rate. Its fairly easy to use the product and convenient to use my phone.

Cons:

The bluetooth card reader disconnects after a few minutes and takes a bit more to get reconnected first. That's hard for intermittent sales.

Convenient for instant access to funds

Pros:

I like that it comes with a card and instant access to your funds after receiving a payment and that it allows echeck payments.

Cons:

They are so touchy with their security and fraud system and freeze your account for review and is a lengthy process to get it unfrozen.

Reasons for switching to QuickBooks Money

Square freezes the account and its weeks before it’s all settled and verified to activate it again and too big a hassle!

Pros:

The mobile application is very simple and straight-forward. We have had very few issues with the credit card readers and they load very quickly. It is very easy to setup products and services in the app and add them to a transaction.

Cons:

It is difficult to sync with your existing QBO products and services. Customer service doesn't seem to know their products well. It does not allow you to add a decimal number for a product quantity, so you can not sell products by weight.

Overall a solid payment app! Definitely save you time

Overall I have had a positive experience with QuickBooks Payments. Like I mentioned above we do get paid much quicker which is a plus. It is also super easy to integrate any other payment applications into QuickBooks which saves you a lot of data entry

QuickBooks Payments definitely is convenient if your already using QuickBooks for your accounting software. Payments are automatically matched up with the correct invoice and I find that customers pay a lot sooner since they have the ability to pay straight from their invoice.

Cons:

The only real issue I think is that the fees can add up quick!!! If a customer pays with a credit card it's 2.4% plus $.25 each transaction. Although that is typical it just adds up very quick especially if it's a large transaction. What they don't tell you is that if you customers pay through ACH instead of credit card the max you will pay for a fee is $10. If we had known this all along we would have saved a lot of money. Very frustrating

We actually used both of them for a while but with QuickBooks overall is easier to use and less expensive.

Easy way to pay invoices online

In overall terms, as a recipient of invoices I think its very efficient so for a small business owner, I can see its a great way to automate invoicing and send chaser reminders, rather than trying to manage everything manually.

Invoice I received was easy to pay by credit / debit card online

Cons:

If I pass to our finance team, I get chaser reminders even though payment is part of our next payment run. Replying to the email seems to go into a black hole.

I like the features of QuickBooks Money, we can easily keep track of our invoicing, payables and receivables all in one place.

Cons:

There was a bit of a learning challenge from some of the other apps we have used in the past. It was a bit challenging to switch over from other programs we have used but there has been good customer support to help us through.

Quickbooks Money makes me money!

It's a necessary tool operating my small business. I was able to put my earning into "envelopes "that accrue interest which was a big plus!

Pros:

I appreciate that I am able to receive payments from my clients without having to transfer my earnings to a separate account. I also like that their monthly fee is zero dollars.

Cons:

Their customer support is only limited to weekdays. I operate a mobile notary business seven days a week, and If I need assistance during the weekend, that isn't an option.
