Amazing & Awesome Software

I was placed in a position of having to locate a solution to our accounting needs after the accountant we used had failed us miserably. I was looking at cost, ease of use, and easy to understand reports and records. Cost is reasonable and all the other needs we had have been met with ease. Overall our staff and I are thrilled with this program and all it provides [sensitive content hidden] allows us to accomplish without being complicated at all.

Ease of use and set up. The programs are very self explanatory. A beginner can use this program from the start.

Cons:

There aren't any cons that I have noticed. I couldn't write a complaint after using it for several years.

Can't Love It More!

Overall, ChurchTrac--both the software AND the support team--has been excellent. As a 20+ Software Test Engineer in both the federal and private sectors, I can honestly say that ChurchTrac is one of the best, most user-friendly, and thorough softwares I've ever worked with. The support articles and videos are outstanding, and what VERY few things aren't covered or need further clarification are all answered by support staff (live, not bots!) who are lightning-quick and extremely friendly and knowledgeable. And all that for a very reasonable cost! I just can't speak highly enough about the entire ChurchTrac team, the product, and their brand-new app. I HIGHLY recommend ChurchTrac to any and EVERY church that's looking for a church financial and/or management tool!

Pros:

ChurchTrac does everything we need for management of our church's finances and membership rolls, plus more. It's all presented in a very clean, clear format; is easy to use; and has GREAT support features.

Cons:

There's not really anything that I don't like about ChurchTrac. If I could tweak anything--and I've already suggested this to the developers a couple of times--it would be to allow automations to be set for quarterly and semi-annual actions, not just daily, weekly, monthly, or annually. Trying to remember to pause and unpause automations for quarterly and semi-annual transactions (to reduce the need to fully recreate the transactions each time) can be difficult and is easily forgotten, which makes the financials a bit harder to reconcile when transactions appearing (or not appearing) in ChurchTrac don't match what the bank accounts show.

Reasons for choosing ChurchTrac

The other products were either too expensive and/or simply too powerful/complicated for our needs.

Reasons for switching to ChurchTrac

We needed to reduce duplicative entry of both financial and membership information, and improve the time and effort needed to create donation statements, while still staying within a very tight budget.

Great video training! Quick responses to my tickets that I submitted. I am excited to get all set up by January 1, 2026 and to use all of the modules.

Cons:

Complications I am having building my income and expense accounts. I will try again. Then if I am not successful I will ask for ChurchTrac to upload what I need from a spreadsheet.

My Accounting Buddy

I started with our church as the business administrator without any background in accounting. ChurchTrac has been such a blessing to me. It is so user friendly that I was able to pick up on it pretty quickly. It is easy to correct a mistake if you make one and the support team is fabulous!

ChurchTrac is very user friendly. I would choose this program over other accounting software like Quickbooks.

Cons:

When running reports, it usually takes me several tries to get the one I need. The description for the reports is a little generic for someone without an accounting background.

Reasons for switching to ChurchTrac

It wasn’t a good fit for our church to have someone of site manage our finances.

Feature Rich Church Administration

As the Senior Pastor of my church, I have wanted to get several things in place for our congregation for a while now. Church attendance tracking, a church app, and a prayer wall were all on my wish list. After just a couple of weeks with ChurchTrac, I have been able to get all three of these things up and running with minimal effort.

Pros:

The Church Connect app is very good. The cards are super. The attendance module works well and is fairly intuitive. The product is comprehensive and feature rich. Initial setup is relatively easy. Admin user additions and permission control is stellar!

Cons:

Navigation through the product on the web in the administrative interface can be less than intuitive. There needs to be a clear 'backward path' to make the interface feel more like an application than a web page. Having the ability to bulk import people without reaching out to ChurchTrac would be nice for more tech-savvy users.

Gloo was not extensive enough. Tithely feels geared around giving only.

ChurchTrac is easier to use, cheaper, and has a better app.

I enjoyed the fact that it was not a monthly subscription and based on the size of the organization.

Cons:

The interface was hard to train others on. Also, the changes made at times confused some of our users who are not very computer literate.

User friendly. Once I saw the videos on how to operate certain tabs, it made it easier to use. I like it.

Cons:

Some features were not easy to find. I had to call customer service for help. I wish I can set up direct deposit for our staff.

Good investment for any growing church ministry

Usually, transitioning from one system to another can be a very daunting task, including learning how to maneuver the system, and adding data can be overwhelming. Church Trac and its support team have streamlined the process and made it less stressful. Very pleased would describe my overall experience.
