About Happy Charting

Happy Charting is an electronic medical records (EMR) solution that helps healthcare organizations streamline processes related to chart creation, daily appointment scheduling, patient history tracking, and more from within a unified platform. It allows team members to build personalized chart templates with symptoms, patient complaints, diagnoses, notes, recommendations, prescriptions, and more.

Happy Charting enables medical professionals to create custom codes to automatically fill out the chart with common complaints, symptoms, and diagnoses. It allows employees to create patient charts with information such as name, age, birth date, email, phone, treatment history, and other relevant details. Additionally, physicians can manage daily schedules, add appointments, monitor incoming patients, and track waitlists on a centralized platform.

Happy Charting enables medical institutes to ensure data security in compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines. It is available on monthly subscriptions and support is extended via FAQs, email, phone, and other online measures.

intuitive EMR specific for acupuncturists

happy charting is reflective of the brainchild behind the service: maxie ouyang. her intuitive sense of personifying an EMR system specific to acupuncturists is created based off participating in a life-long family owned acupuncture practice. the difference is she has merged the old dinosaur paper charting ways and synchronized it with modern, sustainable paperless practices. maxie solved for me in minutes, what took me years to conceptualize and translate to digital form, for my unique practice. now everything is seamless, succinct and effortless. i highly recommend the aptly and intentionally coined product, “happy charting,” for a reason. endless thanks, for all the contributing creators, to the ancestors, to her renaissance healer parents before her and their practices. we all know it takes a village, blood, sweat and tears to create a business that really effects change and makes a difference—and maxie has done just that.

Simple and intuitive with top notch customer service

I have been using happy charting for over 4 years and have been incredibly pleases with the simplicity and ease of use of the software! It has made my charting quick and easy. My time and energy is spent with my patients, not with my computer 🙂 The few times I've had a bug I was immediately helped by a person and the problem was solved by end of day. Highly recommend!

I’ve been using Happy Charting for my acupuncture practice since 2021 and I don’t plan on ever switching! The site design is straightforward and functional, I like that you can customize everything (what you include in SOAP notes, intake forms, etc). Every interaction I’ve had with Yinghui has been pleasant as well as genuinely helpful, customer service is great! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a charting system that is easy to use and very affordable.

Cons:

Sometimes I accidentally click a button to copy over the last SOAP note and it erases everything I had written. But that’s pretty rare. Otherwise it’s great!

The Perfect Charting System For My Acupuncture Practice!

I relaunched my practice almost 2 years ago, and wanted to choose systems that fit my vision perfectly. Happy Charting was exactly what I was looking for! I love that it’s totally customizable, easy to use, HIIPA compliant, and an excellent price without any excess features that I don’t need.

Cons:

It took a little bit of time to learn how to use it and customize my charts, but the training videos made it easier!

Pros:

Easy to use. Clear and crisp look. Developers are very easy to work with and have fantastic response time, as well as being very open to suggestions for future development. Good price point for our small business. Overall, the best EHR software for the money for our type of clinic that I found.

Cons:

No cons. Anything that I could say that might be missing from this software is something that the developers are in the process of completing, and I have seen the prototypes (for example an online client booking platform) and am happy with the progress.

Reasons for switching to Happy Charting

Practice Fusion went from free EHR to $100/month. They were never the best fit for our type of practice, being geared towards MD's more than any other type of health profession. Practice Fusion is also a very large corporate organization and didn't feel right for our small, community oriented business. Happy Charting is geared towards acupuncturists like us, and I have had direct contact and meetings with the [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and they are priced within our budget.

Happy Charting is really easy to setup and use. If you have any specific needs or issues, let the Happy Charting team know and they get right on it!

Cons:

There is a duplicate feature that if I accidentally click on it overrides all my charting already done. I have to delete the duplication and rewrite the chart. I usually accidentally click on it when trying to wake up my computer.

Affordable, efficient charting software

When colleagues ask me about charting software, it's easy for me to recommend Happy Charting. As a small business, it's important for us to support other small businesses. And the staff at Happy Charting make that easy to do.

I came from a high volume clinic. It was great to feel like my opinion mattered whenever I chatted with the Happy Charting people. Not only is it less expensive that all other charting software I tested, it's also a company with heart. The customer service is exceptional.

Cons:

There's not much to complain about. When we had an issue with HC, the company fixed it quickly.

I can't say enough about Happy Charting--it is probably the most valuable tool that I use on a daily basis. I have been using Happy Charting for over 7 years now. This software was a game changer for me. I went from time consuming paper charts to a charting system that I can use on the go. I chart as I treat and I am easily able to walk away from the day at the end of my shift. The support team is awesome at helping to fine tune and fix problems areas quickly and as they pop up.

Cons:

Not many cons, I look forward to when they are able to offer vibrant scheduler and potentially a pay system.

Learning Happy Charting was quick. The learning curve was really fast. After I had it customized, it felt very intuitive and easy. After 5 or 10 mins, I could navigate it quickly. The simplicity is actually something I really appreciate in clinic. There are no bells and whistles, but that is totally fine with me, it means I'm not paying for things I'm not using.

Cons:

I don't have any complaints, they are always very responsive when I reach out for assistance.
