About Google Forms

Google Forms is a survey management application that helps businesses create online surveys and questionnaires to collect and organize information. Its white-label capabilities enable organizations to design personalized surveys using custom logos, images or predefined themes.

Google Forms assists professionals with creating custom Q&As, surveys, polls or pop quizzes using various question types including multiple-choice, dropdowns, linear scales or checkboxes. It lets administrators embed forms to existing websites or share them with specific clients or a target audience via email links, Google Currents, Facebook and Twitter. Additionally, the collaboration feature allows teams to simultaneously create or edit surveys.

Google Forms enables managers to analyze entries in real-time and gain insight into survey data via charts, graphs and automated summaries. It is available for free as a part of Google’s suite of online tools. Support is extended via FAQs, forums, a help center and other online measures.

Pros:
It’s still the easiest, most accessible solution to creating firms. Highly compatible with most browsers.
Cons:
The user interface has stayed the same for a long time. Doesn’t have advanced features like competitors.

Google Forms- great survey tool

Google forms helps organize information gathered into easy to read columns that you can sort and filter out for information.

Pros:
Easy to use and has lots of functions that are easy to follow. Users can select from many drop downs to get the type of answers they want and there are many options for collecting survey information along with notifications when surveys have been submitted. Google forms has simple color options and templates that make it fun!
Cons:
Conditional question options would be great. If they select no, ask them this, etc. this would allow users to eliminate having to use the “other” option as much with responders then typing in answers.

Pros:
It's easy to create the survey; building branches in the questions is smooth. Distribution of the survey is much better now.
Cons:
Compared to some survey-focused applications like Qualtrics, it lacks more user-friendly structuring of the questions using HTML and Java.

Google Forms is a great alternative if you're looking for a low cost, easy to use option.

4

Over all I would say I would recommend Google Forms for most things due to the cost not being a facto and the ease of use for most things.

Pros:
I like that it is included with Google accounts and I don't have to pay extra for it. I definitely makes it worth it as the cost is none. It is fairly straightforward to use as well. I appreciate the fact that it collects the data and I can download that data to an excel file.
Cons:
I can't do everything I want it to do unfortunately. I have found work arounds for most things but not everything. Some things are clunky still. Specifically if I want to collect files from the form.

Fast way to get user feedback

For quick MVP testing and validation, it is great. It is free and easy for users to answer. It saves me time from building custom survey tool. Good for internal team voting on features also. A simple tool for data driven decisions.

Pros:
I use this for collecting beta user feedback and feature requests. It is very quick to make survey and send link to customers. The responses go to Sheets automatically, which helps me analyze data and prioritize what to build next for the product.
Cons:
The design is very basic, I cannot make it look like my brand perfectly. Logic jump (if this, then that) is very simple and not good for complex user journeys. It does not have good analytics dashboard inside, I must do manual work in sheets.

Simple, quick, and easy basic forms for data collection. Ad hoc and informal use

4

Quick, easy, and powerful for a basic form and data collection. The integration to the ecosystem of other Google tools is great. Probably only use it for a simple ad-hoc or routine but informal data collection. It doesn't look and feel corporate or at least I didn't discover how to make it look that way

Cons:
Sometimes access is a problem for people without Google credentials. The features are basic. They have basic customizations but a bit fiddly if you want customized branding or a really professional look.

Office Approves of Google Forms!

Overall, Google Forms is a highly effective and user-friendly tool that helps our office run smoothly. It makes creating surveys quick and simple, allows for easy collaboration among staff, and provides an organized way to view and analyze responses. It’s a reliable platform for gathering feedback from volunteers and event participants, and we have found no major drawbacks in using it.

The platform is very user-friendly—creating questions is quick and simple—and responses are displayed alongside the survey in a clear, organized format, making them easy to review and analyze. Another great tool is being able to link your results to Google Sheets. Our office also likes that fact you can customize your survey with colors and themes.

To date, I have not found anything I dislike about Google Forms. Its ease of use helps our office run smoothly when creating surveys, and it allows us to easily share surveys among office staff for collaboration and consistency.
