    The simplicity in viewing and reviewing payroll metrics in real time. It is simple and intuitive for colleagues to use. Seeing payslips in real time helps everyone know where they stand each month.
    Cons:
    The pace of the system updates requires you to always be ready for new features and changes. This takes a bit more time than I would like to get used to.

    Pros:
    People First has allowed us to integrate all things HR, Payroll and Learning so that our teams have one system for all of their needs. The ability to personalise the system and make it your own helps to keep the content relevant and engaging. The system is fully configurable to our needs and both the back end of system and user interface are intuitive. The support offered by People First through their case management system ensures that issues are triaged and dealt with in a timely manner.
    Cons:
    It would be good to have access to the test system throughout the use of the product to help us work on improvements to how we use the system and test more scenarios and situations out.

    Frustrating, basic product, limited capabilities of modern-day HR systems

    There are some common features you would find on most HRIS products e.g. recognition, communities. I am unsure what I am missing from other reviews that appear on here.
    Cons:
    - Inability to customise lots of things- Sign up and onboarding flow is not user friendly- Onboarding flow is barely even a flow, it's just people assigning themselves a password...- General interface is not intuitive - You aren't able to store documents on people's profiles without having to create a 'Card' on their profile, which either means documents are disorganised or not in one place. Still using local file system as it's easier.- I have yet to find an automation I can use to reduce admin of my job- Consistent problems with employees signing up, signing up and then having to resign up at a later date- Customer support is limited, if you want their help, you either have to find it yourself or it gets 'credited' out of your allowance. Bizarre. - The data exports are really limiting and non-customisable. For example, if I want salary, job role, email address, and address in one sheet, I have to collate various different ones.

We've got some feature-led information below that will hopefully help: User Sign Up - The journey can depend on what you are using as an IDP. If you have your own, then it's not something we control. If you are using ours, I agree it is clunky and something we plan to address next year. Documents - Document attachments are available on most cards, this way you are attaching a document to the context and therefore simple to find. There is no need to create cards to store documents as standard document attachments are available. Exports - We are currently working on a tool that will be available later this year to allow you to manipulate and create your own reports. We've escalated your feedback to our Head of Product and if you are still a customer, we would love to discuss your feedback in more detail and tell you about our plans.     Fantastic saving us time time and helps us day to day and with future planning. From onboarding a few years ago to now we’ve always had a great level and support and direct relationship with People First.

    The teams are always happy to help out and are always looking to their customers in ways to future develop the platform. People First is a great HR, payroll, onboarding and learning system all in one place. The system allows us to manage and monitor performance across the business and easily identify skills gaps.
    Cons:
    Some areas of the system can be difficult to find or click heavy. The learning area does have some room for improvement to make it a more user friendly environment.

    People First Has Been a Winner for Meridian!

    Overall the move to People First has been extremely successful and has created numerous efficiencies. As an HR team, we love how easy easy it is to navigate the system, make changes etc and the feedback from our people is overwhelmingly positive too, they particularly enjoy being able to access the system whenever they like via the app. During the implementation process the support we had from our Account Manager and Project Manager during was excellent and at no point did we feel like we were just left to get on with it, we always knew there was help at hand if we needed it which helped enormously. As a result the process ran smoothly and we completed the project on time relatively stress free!

    Pros:
    What I really love about People First is that it is more than just an HRIS, it’s a platform which allows us to bring all things people related together into one place. Our people can access everything they may need such as policies, the expenses system, our benefits & rewards platforms etc through the links we have set up in People First making everything easily accessible for our people. It has also created a sense of community as our people can share updates, recognise colleagues and celebrate achievements through the system, which as a geographically diverse business, is really valuable to us. From an HR team perspective, it has helped to streamline our process and created valuable efficiencies. Prior to People First we had a separate platform for managing performance and one to ones however we are now able to do all this through People First which not only has improved the end user experience but we have also achieved a significant cost saving as a result.
    Cons:
    The only slight drawback I find with People First is the reports, whilst there are many, they are standardised and can not be manipulated which means that sometimes you have to pull several reports and amalgamate them to get the information you want.

    We chose People First as it ticked most of the boxes we were looking for and it's simplicity of use.

    People First is a simpler, easier to navigate system which is more suited to a business our size (SME).

    Intuitive Experience Back by Great Service

    Our overall experience with People First has been very positive. The customer service is excellent - our account manager stays in regular contact and responses quickly to any queries. Projects such as our initial implementation and the transition to the new payroll system were well planned and executed on schedule.

    I really appreciate how intuitive and easy the system is to use. We recently transitioned to their payroll system and it has significantly reduced the time we spend on administrative tasks. We also like the social media feel of the newsfeed - it's an effective way to keep everyone up to date across the business without having to send multiple emails.
    Cons:
    There are frequent updates, which can make it hard to keep track of what's changed. I suspect there are useful features on the platform that we're not aware of.

    Great system!

    I've always found the support and assistance to be fantastic. Even if something goes wrong I am confident a resolution is being worked on. My account management in the last 9 months has be outstanding.

    User friendly and easy to navigate for both desktop and mobile users. We have a lot of field based employees and they find it really easy to use.
    Cons:
    MFA- this has been a real challenege. Particularly having to re-enter codes every time you log in. It is not usual to have to do this, usually a device is recognised for 24 hours. Having biometric login options would benefit mobile app users.

    People First - a year in!

    Right from the consultants who worked with us to get the system how we wanted to look before go live to a year in, People First has transformed our business in terms of accessibility for our employees, and usable, real time data at the touch of our button. Our employees being able to see their payslip at any time of the month is such a benefit for them and the amount of corrections needed each month has drastically dropped since employees have been able to see real time data.

    The implementation of People First within our business has enabled us to support our transparent culture and allow our employees to access all their personnel data, benefits and company news through one app based product. The software is intuitive, easy to use and for my teams easy to update and extract data, ensuring more efficient and effective outcomes for our business.
    Cons:
    We've had a few teething problems with the payroll benefits section, but the benefit is when you raise a ticket you can see the defect through to resolution, it's a little frustrating but hasn't put me off the product.

    I find People First very effective and user-friendly. The reporting functionality offers valuable insights and the ability to post policies or key announcements with tracking to see who has accepted them is extremely useful for communication and compliance. I also appreciate the weekly digest feature, which summarises important updates and automatically sends them to employees. The option to include external links adds flexibility as well as People First app.
    Cons:
    One limitation is that the organisational chart cannot be downloaded in it's current format, which make it difficult to share outside of the system. Additionally, when we have a query or issue, it would be much more efficient to have the option to contact someone directly by phone or email, rather than being required to raise a case through the support portal.

    There was a knowledge gap as the team who implemented iTrent have left the business.

    People First - a good start

    Having been with the system since the beginning there wasn't much support to begin with but features are being added all the time and being able to bring ideas to the table to help improve the produce is great. I think there is a lot more that could be done with the system but off to a good start

    Very easy to use from an end user point of view. The functionality is the same whether on app or desktop.
    Cons:
    When the system was bought back in 2022 there were no guides or instructions on how to use the system either from an end user or as an admin of the system. They are slowly getting round to fixing this now
