A Feature-Packed and Perfectly Integrated Solution for Capturing Product Ideas & Customer Feedback

Overall, Jira Product Discovery checks all the boxes I need to successfully capture ideas from our product team, other employees, and most importantly customers. The Chrome extension is especially helpful for our support team to quickly convert customer feedback into new ideas or upvote existing ones. Again, the real magic is how easy Atlassian has made it to link ideas to Jira Development issues for seamless tracking across the development process.

Pros:

I've used a few different product idea / feedback capturing platforms as a Product Manager, but JPD's seamless integration into Jira Development makes this one a no-brainer for any company already using Jira on the development side.

Cons:

It's still a fairly new product, compared to the rest of the Atlassian suite, and I know it will continue to improve, but I do feel like there is a lot of extra setup work needed to make it function correctly. I'm hoping they make idea categorization and organization a little more automated in the future.

Cons:

Though it offers alot of customization, the configuration of fiels, scoring models and workflos is complicated for teams.

Engineering go to but hard for everyone else

This is a good engineering product, but not very friendly for a non-technical folks that have to interface with the engine engineering teams

Pros:

This is used by your engineering team but we interface with it as a larger firm. I can’t review it from the engineering and software development side but from a support user ticket side it could use some more non-tech user friendly features.

Cons:

The core screens to view and track software tickets are hard to navigate to even though the ticket management process is pretty efficient and I like how our engineering team can leave comments and it will email you updates.

Agile Jira Atlassian

Atlassian in general is a go-to tool for me as an Agile consultant, trainer, and coach, and Jira in particular helps a lot to prioritize our Features, spotlight them into KANBAN view, and adopt a workflow and not a boring schedule that is bi-demensional by definition and boring.

Pros:

Jira is a helpful way to boost agile and Lean practices. Customers are happy because we can visualize the flow of time using the Kanban view. These features, especially with the recent AI plug-ins, are amazing because they help with documentation and writing summaries quickly. The team can collaborate seamlessly and efficiently through an intuitive interface and usage, as it is clear that User experience is a key focus, especially in the shoes of a business consultant or developer. Value for money is relatively fair, and I am happy about it.

Cons:

Needs a bit more time to practice while onboarding new team members towards an already detailed existing project. Maybe the AI summary can be helpful now. Good way ahead.

Pros:

Jira has been a game changer for our implementation team. We use it for product management and implementation of our software solutions. The user interface is simple and intuitive and allows us to easily collaborate internally to get our customers up and running quickly.

Cons:

The platform doesn't have a "timeline" view where we can see a broad overview of our projects in a single summarized dashboard. Not a huge deal but would be nice to have.

This product is amazing at giving clarity about top level ideas and goals, and helps keep design, product and development teams aligned. I really love the way it makes abstract goals and idea trackable and achievable.

Cons:

It is very manual to keep every idea up to date, and with the recent automation changes to Jira, using automations is not an option anymore.
