One of the best out there

    5

I'm making the transition from another CRM into Zivvy as we speak. During setup, I noticed a distinct difference in how this program will improve my day-to-day activity. I was concerned that the UI being much more bland than other offerings would make navigation less desirable, but to my surprise, it actually makes things relatively simple. Click a submenu, select from the drop-down, and BAM. All things related to a client happen right from their profile, which is different from what I am used to, but quite refreshing to not have to click away from customers for everything.

    Pros:
(Speaing of Zivvy, formerly Rainmaker). Super versatile CRM for studio management. Lots of customization but all features one would need to operate their facility are accessible and easy to locate.
    Cons:
User Interface is pretty cut and dry, almost bland, especially compared to similar software options presently available.

    Reasons for switching to RainMaker

More functional reporting, specifically business KPIs and better event management

Glitchy, software with miserable support... here's looking at you Maddison

I have used Rainmaker for 5+ years and it was pretty good to being with. Until recently there had been no updates to the software and this made it pretty glitchy. This is an outdated software that they are trying to keep running. I can't imagine is will be in business in 5 years.

    Cons:
glitchy, need to reload the page, often functions don't work or stop working or not offered. This software was good 5 years ago. The support is also terrible. I have been trying to transfer over to a new software for 5 months and the staff are making this as difficult as possible. Brief unprofessional replies, and sending wrong incorrect information. I actually got an email today that all information sent x3 times now by Rainmaker is still wrong and must be done again. This has me paying for 2 softwares at the same time while waiting for the transfer.

    Reasons for choosing RainMaker

It was recommended by another martial arts school to me. They soon switched to someone else though...

    Reasons for switching to RainMaker

MindBody was not a very user friendly software at the time . I also felt it did not suit a martial arts school and better suited for personal training or yoga schools.

Callous to Its Customers During Coronavirus Health Emergency

    1

Like most gyms, my kickboxing studios were closed in March 2020 because of the Coronavirus health emergency. A crisis reveals a lot about people's character and the same is true for organizations. While my business is closed and collecting $0 revenue, Rainmaker told me I still need to pay the $197/month charge to maintain my account with them. Of course this response is more than enough incentive for me to switch to another CRM solution, but I want to issue a warning to all business owners who might be considering Rainmaker to run their business. Strongly advise you find a different solution.

Refuse to update and customer service took a serious down turn

    1

Poor enough to switch, which is not a small undertaking. Through the change, they got worse. It's been a month and my migration has still not started. It's supposed to take 10-14 business days once they receive all their information. Well here it is day 15, and I asked if they knew when it might be done, and they said "NO". One word answer and no explanation.

Customer support is non-existent, short, and rude. Typically, they have an excuse for the software glitches and well that's just the way it is. I don't suspect they will be around much longer. Now that I'm leaving, they have a 14-day Que for migration. 14 Days! People must be exiting at an alarming rate. 15 days in and It still hasn't started, and when asked if they had an update all I got was "No". One word and no explanation.

Overall it was positive until we decided to leave. I asked about getting payment information transferred from their system to the new system via encrypted methods and tokens and was told that it was they were not allowed to do that due to PCI rules. I asked for the specific rule and was never given an answer.

Just like the pros, there wasn't anything particular that stood out. If I had to pick out one thing, it would be the student profile pages are a bit hard to find information needed right away.

    RainMaker software rocks

    4

I have been using RainMaker since the fall of 2015. I use it almost everyday and although I think it is a little intimidating getting started with the software. I was say that the customer service is 5 star. I have never worked with a company that offers better customer service than RainMaker. I love the variety of features offered. The one drawback is that I wish you could offer partial refunds. An example is that a mom did not enter a promocode correctly on my website and did not notice until it charged her. Instead of refunding (through the software) the difference on her card, as I wished that I could, I refunded the difference in cash when she came in for orientation.
