Hivebrite is a cloud-based online community management platform for small and large enterprises, associations, universities, and nonprofits.

It helps organizations build brand engagements and opportunities for members to network with people around the world.

It features a member directory, a dashboard, an events page, a media center, groups, job boards, a member inbox, fundraising and online membership.

Hivebrite provides a suite of tools to manage and engage members with full control over their brand and community.

It allows users to customize community websites with their own logos and colors. Users can create multiple admins with users rights and roles for managing the website.

Users can choose from multiple options to define their members' access to the platform including signup forms, paid signup, SSO (Single Sign On), social sign-in (LinkedIn, Facebook or Xing).

Hivebrite’s integrated content management system enables administrators to manage content like creating public pages, media centers, member areas, menus and more.

Hivebrite back and front office are available with a variety of language options.

Perfect Platform for Alumni Relations (Even a 1-Person Alumni Relations Office)!

I am a one-person team for my alumni relations office. The fact that I met with vendors over a three month period and then designed and launched the platform in 8 weeks means that anyone can do it and it's a very user-friendly product. I would highly recommend Hivebrite to universities to use this platform for their alumni, students, faculty, and staff engagement/professional development platform.

Pros:
This platform is all-encompassing. It's nice because you can just turn on and off features as you need them. Most companies make you "add-on" additional modules which is expensive and annoying. The only add-ons that isn't included for Hivebrite is Mentoring and Campaigns, but these add-ons are cheap compared to other vendors. It's a very easy platform to use and brand the way you want it.
Cons:
Your IT team or a third party vendor has to complete the API's to sync with your alumni database which has been interesting to navigate. It would be nice if Hivebrite did it all in-house for you or worked with your IT team to make it happen. You also can't archive past events or forum discussions. This would be nice so that you can clear out these sections instead of seeing everything you've ever done.

1. Sales rep was not pushy or aggressive which I appreciated. PeopleGrove had a very aggressive sales person that was rude. 2. Cost - it's a good price compared to other vendors 3. All-inclusive - the modules are available to you at any time and you control when you turn them on or off

Easy to use community management platform

Hivebrite made our life easier when building our community and managing it. We were able to observe our community behaviours and build value adds for them such as events and content very easily and it made our payment process extremely easy.

Pros:
Hivebrite makes the site build very easy and the growth team are responsive over email. In terms of managing a community, the site makes logins, payments and communications very easy. Events are easy to share and invite attendees.
Cons:
The site build can be prescriptive and inflexible and it's slow to reach the backoffice team in charge of helping with issues or bugs. There is a strong team focus on ensuring you renew early.

Overall Hivebrite employ great people, knowledgeable, friendly, supportive and always keen to help you improve your community for your members. All the staff I come across build great relationships with their clients and collaboration is high.

I really like the modular style of the Hivebrite platform, you can build your community platform unique to your user needs.
Cons:
Nothing major, but some of the back office functionality can feel a little disjointed when updating, but once you know how it works its manageable.

Pros:
If you are looking for a system that has a team of pros on your side, this is the product to choose. They don't upsell. In fact, they'll recommend downgrading your modules if they don't think the module will serve you. They are on your side all the time. Plus, this site is ridiculously easy to manage. If you've used Sharepoint, this will be a breeze. They take admin feedback into consideration all the time and actually use our suggestions. I've worked with a lot of systems and never given a review before, that's how much I love this team. They really worked with our budget (we're a non-profit) and do all they can to keep costs low. We use this system for events most primarily and our events are well-attended. Everything is automated and our members don't have issues registering. I will never leave Hivebrite.
Cons:
I think it's hard to build a community online that's not social media. This site is not social media. We're all a little warped to expect 100 likes minimum, or else a post is a fail. It takes genuine effort to get people to use the platform. That's not a hit on Hivebrite, but just these systems as a whole.

Pros:
It appears to be one of the only platforms where you can connect organisations and the general public and have some oversight of it. I like the email campaign feature a lot as I can make it look really good and narrow down which members to contact. Our Customer success Manager [sensitive content hidden] is great and is really proactive and helping us get the most out of the platform as we can and is invested in our mission. The response rate from the support team is very quick
Cons:
Lack of customisability can occasionally cause some issues for functionality, but we are not using the platform for its intended purpose which should be kept in mind.

Hivebrite is a great off-the-shelf solution. It provides a lot of features and functionality that would typically require a developer or engineer to build custom so that you can quickly launch your community.
Cons:
The email system worked well, but the ability to create templates would be great. There were also some bugs.
