About Chariot

Chariot is a payment option nonprofits add to their website or donation form to accept DAF donations. Chariot gives nonprofits the opportunity to tap into the over $234 billion that sits in Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) by allowing donors to give directly from their DAF on a nonprofit’s website in less than 10 seconds. Chariot offers nonprofits the ability to receive DAF donor information, track DAF donations, increase the overall conversion of DAF donations, and, most importantly, increase the size of charitable contributions by encouraging DAF donations through this 3-step process.

Pros:

Chariot was very easy to integrate with our GiveButter fundraising campaign. They also are very proactive in sending supporting marketing materials, tips and virtual follow-ups.

Cons:

We just started using it so I'm not sure yet what I like least.

Everyone at Chariot has been very easy to work with. The setup of the program was quick and easy.

How easy it is for our donors to make their gift.

Cons:

Chariot doesn't have an option yet for the donors to pay the processing fees.

Pros:

As a small non-profit, Chariot has opened doors for me to easily receive small donations from donor-advised funds. Their product is easy to use on my end and includes all of the information that I need when a check is received to properly and easily thank my new donors.

Cons:

Currently, it is still new. I look forward to it being part of all donor-advised funds in our community so it makes giving easier for people to give small amounts more frequently.

Great tool for nonprofits trying to tap into DAFs

Pros:

Very easy to use once connected to stripe. Very helpful and easy to send a link around to potential donors without having to do much explaining. Even though it takes a fee only on donations received, it's a very reasonable one that's comparable to other payment processing software.

Cons:

Still doesn't have integrations with Donorbox and other platforms we use, but that will hopefully come in a future update!

Chariot is helping us get to DAF Zero!

Pros:

The product is really easy to set up and to use, and the fees charged are minimal-- on par with regular credit card processors

Cons:

Thus far I haven't found any missing features. They're continuing to integrate more popular DAFs, so I'd say I'm eager for the expansion of the integration list

Reasons for choosing Chariot

Chariot is far more user friendly than DAF Direct; has integrated DAF access; and uses smart tech to suggest donation amounts based on DAF balances. Brilliant!
