Betterment 2026: Benefits, Features & Pricing

I have used this product for well over 3 years. What I like most about this software is the ability to link ones bank account to the software in order to ascertain your overall net worth. The build wealt feature is good too, the software comes with useable graphs that show you the performance of your portfolio.

The feature that I wish was a little different or what is considered as a con to the software is the difficulty in transfering your money out of your investment class and back into your investment account. Attempting to do so from the mobile app is difficult. You have to actually go into the Betterment website and find the transfer button which seems difficult to find inside of the mobile app.

This platform gives me awesome investment options and great high yield savings accounts with very minimal fees.

I haven't had to reach out to their customer support yet but if I did, I imagine it would be very basic and not very helpful based on how it's all set up.

Based on available reviews, price, and great experience with sales person we moved our 401k over to Betterment. Unfortunately, the entire onboarding and support system has been horrible. No onboarding meetings to review next steps, requirements, or followup. Their "policy" is to respond to phone calls and emails within 3 business days. Their website onboarding dates do not update based on realtime status or information provided. Unless you press for updates you won't hear back from them and the dates won't change. They wait until the last minute to make requests for more information leave the employer with little to no time to request info from previous provider. Overall, If you transfer providers or at least want decent support I'd suggest other companies first, look at Human Interest, Guideline, ShareBuilder, ForUsAll, or one of the more traditional options.

Very low cost easy to use application with low fees. Easy to set up auto payments into the account. I set up auto payment and forget about the investment for my girls college funds.

Cannot really do custom investments. They have a high min of $100,000 for premium plans.

I like that you can easily link bank accounts to transfer funds for retirement davings. I like the auto-deposit features. It re-invests dividends for you.

No major cons - it get the job done! There is nothing I dislike about this app.
